Lanier 7328 Hi-The copier I use is a Lanier 7328 (I didn't see that help forum)... and something is wrong where the sorter meets the copier.The paper always jams at the junction. I have tried to isolate the problem, by removing the sorter from the copier body, and jamming a pen in the sensors so they think they are plugged in, but as the sheet of paper is on it's exit, the copier goes crazy and the instruction to clear jam from sorter pops up (even though the paper comes out flawless and easily, and the sorter isn't attached!). The copier and sorter are aligned, and plugged in. The copies get printed, the copier just thinks there's a jamming problem. Help me?

    thanks for trying, but it turns out it was the circuit board inside the sorter. the rubber rollers are dirty as heck though, maybe dust was the cause of the circuit board shorting out... thanks again, jules

    i am in the service mode, but when i try to press copier the sorter comes up. Can this be resolved?

Hi im jules_09,have you tried cleaning all the ruber roller?try cleaning all ruber roller then lubricate al bushing and gears.if there is still a problem check all paper sensor it can be cleaned with alcohol.just soak the paper sensor with alcohol then let dry after a few minute then install it back again in the copier.dont soak the paper sensor in alcohol while it is in the machine.turn of the copier first

You may need to check again the error code. According to the manufacturer's checklist for error codes, only the following are documented;

Shoulg you not find any of these mentioned error codes, I suggest you contact the tech support especially if the machine is still under warranty.

Lanier 6725 copier: Paper is always jamming and
I have worked for Lanier for 20 years, the 6725 was a great machine, but getting parts, spending $$$ and still having an old copier. Lanier is owned by Ricoh and all machines are Ricoh with a Lanier sticker on it. Its time.

Error code E522. How to fix this?
You have an issue with your staple finisher, probably need to inspect the stapler unit itself to make sure nothing is jammed in it and it moves freely. If you can't clear the error then most likely the unit is defective.

Sharp SF 2030 check sorter problem
follow the small holes on the sorter trays to the bottom and top there you will find the sensors that tell the copier that ther is paper in the trays make sure that they are clean and ther is no obstruction

Paper Misfeed Problem
When you close the doors does the message disappear? If so then the paper pickup roller is worn. Open the cassette remove all paper apart from one sheet. Spray a alcohol based cleaned on the leading edge of the paper. Try and do a copy this will issue a jam and also clean the pickup roller. repeat a few times then clean out the cassette and dry off place new paper in the cassette and try. Also there maybe a piece of paper behind the cassette. Remove cassette and reach in and remove paper lodged at back.

Jammed paper at the Sorter Unit
Do you get a paper jam or is the finsher not showing that is empty? You may have a broken bin or a miss alined bin or you have a lazy sensor flag. The copier should give you a idea where the paper jam is... May need more info. on this one..
