Have you checked the LID position. Sometimes the lid lock fails and keeps other functions from working.

SOURCE: I have a lg tromm

Hi

Error code LE indicates that either the motor is not turning or has locked up for some reason. It can also be due to Hall sensor which monitors direction and speed of the motor. If the sensor is faulty then also this error appears. Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor. To make sure it's not a locked motor, try turning the drum with your hand. And, if there is any resistance while turning the drum or the drum doesn't move freely then the motor is locked and you'll need to get it replaced. If the motor seems to be fine then you would need to replace the Hall Sensor. To replace the hall sensor, take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Hope this helps...

I have a LG WM2016CW Front Load Washer that is not spinning during wash but does during test mode. What could be the problem?

Replace the motor position sensor also known as a 'hall' sensor. About $20. Pretty easy fix. Check out videos on , repairclinic.com , , appliancepartspros.com , or YouTube.com.
Pretty common erroron older units.

I've got an LE code on the front of my washer

This error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.

Are there soap suds visible in the drum?
Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.

Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.
Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.
Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.
Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.
Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

Hope this helps.

Has a large load size been used with a gentle wash setting?
Gentle wash cycles such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for smaller loads. Because the cycles are more gentle while tumbling and spinning, too many items in the drum can register as an issue with the motor. In this instance reset the unit and run a test rinse and spin cycle.

Has the washer been overloaded?
Single bulky items or large loads can add extra weight to the drum and place stress on the motor. Remove some of the clothing and restart. If the issue is still present after a few items have been removed, unplug the washer for 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool and then restart the cycle.

check the pump filter and if necessary clean it up.
if you stop the programme and hold the start/ pause button for 3-5 sec the programme will cancelled and the drain will work.
if you hear a slow noise from the pump it may be blocked with external objects from your clouthes pocket,

so you need to contact a repairman.

LE Problem

An LE Error Code is indicative of a ?Locked Motor? or ?Overload in the Motor?. This is rarely caused by a problem with the machine and in most instances resolvable over the phone. Q1:Are there suds in the drum? -->Oversudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. Oversudsing can also cause leaking and odor. Follow the steps below to resolve an LE error code caused by oversudsing. --> Step 1: Unplug the unit and let machine sit for 30 minutes to allow suds to dissolve. Step 2: Press the POWER button to turn on the washer. Step 3: Press the SPIN SPEED button to select ?No Spin?. Step 4: Press the START/PAUSE button to begin drain only. Step 5: After cycle is complete, remove the items from the machine. Press POWER to turn on, RINSE&SPIN button, then START/PAUSE. Repeat, if necessary. This will remove excess suds and light residue from drum. Do this until no suds are seen in drum. Q2: Is this a new installation? -->In new installations, the code can appear simply due to a miscommunication between the control board and the motor. In this instance, the unit will simply need to be reset, much like rebooting a computer. Unplug unit, press and hold start/pause button for 5 seconds, plug unit in and test with a Rinse/Spin cycle. Q3:Is a large load size in a gentle wash cycle? -->Gentle wash cycles, such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for smaller loads. Because these cycles are more gentle in tumbling and spinning, putting too much in the drum can register an issue with the motor. Remove items, reset unit and test with a Rinse/Spin cycle. Q4:Is the washer overloaded? -->Single bulky items (comforters) or extremely large loads can add extra weight to the drum which stresses the motor. Remove some clothing and restart. If it doesn?t work, unplug unit and let it sit for 30 minutes to allow motor to cool. Then restart the cycle.
