SOURCE: After a period of use the Scooter turns itself off.

sounds like it might be a bad throttle pod, or the brake is overheating. If you can pull the rear shroud off and drive it for a while you can check to see if the brake is overheating. Be careful when checking it because if it is really hot it will burn your fingers. The throttle pod can be checked with an ohm meter but i'm not sure off the top of my head what reading you should get. let me know if you would go that far and i'll get it for you.

SOURCE: battery power on mobility scooter

The Hand Control has probably bent in from use. ( Where she Pushes the throttle Control )
Grab a hold of it and bend it out towards you slightly
The part about the indicator going down when she moves and back up when she stops is normal

SOURCE: pride victory Scooter battery charged won't run

Its probably too late to give my opinion, but here goes anyway.
I had a similar problem with my mothers scooter and it turned out to be a faulty connection on the wires leading to the motor. I simply pulled the plastic connection apart, cleaned and lubricated the contacts, refitted the connection and all was well.

SOURCE: electric mobility scooter says charge is full but won't run

This sounds she has tripped her circuit breaker. It works just like the one on your house, when you ask too much of it it suddenly goes 'pop' and seems to be dead.

Looks like you have the same scooter as mine, it should be a little white button on the back of the base. If you follow this link, it will give you a pdf version of the older model pride victory manual, (Mine is a three, they are up to about 10!) See fig. 8 on page 20 and 'Circuit Breaker' on page 21. Also, Page 33 has the troubleshooting info. Hope this helps.

Charging your power chair or scooter the correct way can make them last

Whenever you need to charge your power chair or scooter get into the habit of charging overnight. The battery level indicator lights will tell you if your chair or scooter needs charging. Whenever the lights are down into the yellow and especially if they are in the red. If you have the off-board charger, plug the charger into the charger port in the front of your joystick and then plug the charger into the wall socket or turn the on/off switch on and let it charge overnight. When you get up in the morning the charger should have a red light(power) and a green light illuminated (indicating fully charged) Always turn the charger off or unplug it from the wall socket before you unplug it from the chair or scooter. Never have the power on to the charger when you plug or unplug it from your chair or scooter. Whenever you get new batteries always give your batteries a full charge before use and then if you use the chair daily charge it every night. If you do not use your chair or scooter daily charge it at least once a week. Never leave the charger plugged in and on for more than 24 hours. Your batteries should last you 3-4 years if you charge them correctly.

Battery fully charged but not power to run

Measure the battery voltage individually. If each battery has less than 10 volts, charge them with an automotive style NON automatic battery charger.

Gogo elitescooter lights indicate battery fully charged but scooter will not go

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. (Typical replacement in 24-48 months). If there is any beeping when the key is first turned on then there is a problem and the number of beeps indicates the problem found by the computer during the POST. Hi do you need to turn on key to charge up battery on a wheeltech mobility scooter i just purchased with no manual thanks

No, you don't need to turn on the key to charge. Just plug in the charger and turn on the charger if there is an on/off switch on it. The charger indicator and the scooter meter will read full when the scooter is fully charged. Hope this helps.

The (new) batteries indicate from the charger that they are fully charged yet only go for 1 mile before indicator goes 'red".

diane how far did ya used to go with a full charge? Just because the provider said the batteries are new doesn't mean they are new coulda sat on the self for 6 months. New batteries can go bad or in your case probably just one is bad. batteries should be under warranty contact the place you bought them and have them check them for you make sure they are fully charged when they pick them up. Hope this helps

After a few seconds cooling fan stops and it doesn't charge.

This usually indicates that the battery is fully charged. Does the indicator light change? Have the batteries been sitting unused for a while? If so, they may have oxidized inside and will no longer take a charge. The charger is indicating they are full, but instead of being full of energy, they are full of crud and need to be replaced.
Good luck!

Shop rider sovereign voltage indication. Brand new fully charged

hi Richard,

Does the scooter actually lose power after the 3 leds show ?

If it is losing power then a suggest to try some other batteries to confirm dodgy batteries, check the terminal connections etc.

If it does not lose power then the volt meter is at fault, if you can check the voltage before riding then after it shows only 3 leds , if there is a big drop, check the charger first to make sure the batteries are getting fully charged.
