The display screen (where the number you are calling or that is calling you) is blank. Tried to adjust the contrast but it does not help. Any suggestions???
Phones I work on have a ribbon cable going from display window to main body, sometimes get knocked around and ribbon cable dislodges. Just have to reconnect cable, inside the phone.

Check if there is a contrast setting knob or function. Often the contrast setting gets clobbered and then the display will be blank... worst thing if it is internal setting and you can't see the screen to change it... In that case do a factory reset on the unit. Usually this is holding down multiple buttons when turning power on.

Hi, It has two batteries CR2032. They should not be removed at the same time. There must always be one battery in the calculator. The calculator should be turned OFF when changing batteries.
Often after you change batteries the screen contrast may be too light and you cannot see anything. The contrast can be adjusted (lightened or darkened). As you adjust the contrast setting,a highlighted number in the upper right corner changes to indicate the current contrast setting; 0 is the lightest, and 9 is the darkest. To adjust the display contrast: 1. Press and release the [2nd] key. 2. Use one of two keys: (UpArrow or DownArrow) --- To increase the contrast (darken), press and hold [UpArrow] ---To decrease the contrast (lighten), press and hold DownArrow
If you haven't already tried it, unplug the phone, press a couple of buttons, then plug it back in so it resets. If the boxes still appear, try adjusting the display contrast. Press Feature-*-7 to get to contrast setting and then press 6 or 7 to set mid-range contrast.
try going to the setup screen button left of adjustments
try going to the set up menu on the left of the buttons come down to the slider control just above the information icon then go across to color reset hope this helps regards Jim
