I can not install the scanner software - HP LaserJet M1522n MultiFunction Printer

Disconnect scanner from computer, uninstall the software you installed and restart the computer.
Download the latest driver software from: http://www.mustek.com/mustek/Support.php
Install the driver software but do not connect the scanner until the installation prompts you to connect it or when the installation is complete.

the scanning software could not be found, or your scanner is not connected. please make sure you scanner and your scanning software are properly installed

uninstall it completely ....even the driver ...cause if it is a auto-run install it sees that the driver and the printer it is still on ...or ..browse the cd ..and only click on the scanner software
first go to the control panel and remove the software from the add remove programs ...than ..restart the computer ..and than try only software for the scanner If it does the same...remove all drivers and software related with the printer /scanner..and run the complete cd again ...

Kindly install the scanner software for printer the driver software cd just re install it will install the scanner software and make sure in device manger there is not other usb device listed if it is there just remove it. And refresh it in will automatically install the driver.
You need to install the application software .just install the cd which come along with the scanner it contains the driver as well as the scanning software just install it .then you will be able to use the scanner button .
Kindly install the scanner software for printer..You just re install the driver software cd it will automatically install the missing components

Un-install, then re-install the scanner software. If this does not work, go online and search for software upgrades to your scanner.

Download it, Install it, and after that plug-in your Scanner, it will then be detected and installed.

Do you have any scanner software installed to use your scanner with? In most cases a scanner comes with CD that installs a software package that will allow immediate use of the scanner after installation. Once that package is installed, you place picture in one of the corners of the scanner underneath the lid of course and press either the manual scan button that is on some scanners or the button on the software package that you installed into the computer when first configuring the scanner during installation. I assume you have acquired the scanner as a twain source else little will happen.

Did you plug the scanner in before installing the software? Common mistake... Disconnect the scanner, uninstall the software completely, re-boot, open up the Device Manager, Click View-->Show Hidden devices--> Look for any scanner related drivers that are still installed for the scanner (they will moste likely be grayed out since it is unplugged) and uninstall them (Right click-->Uninstall). Re-boot again, install the software, wait for the software install to prompt you to plug in the device. Follow the quick start guide if it came with one. Check the manufacturers web site for updated drivers, software for you model.
