Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA
the leads from your (motherboard to your hard drive) make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty

if its a 40 pin flat ribbon type it will be the first to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd and floppy have secure connections and are not faulty

even something as small as a faulty electrical fan and its lead can cause you problems
computers need all power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

Check your RAM.
The RAM is located in the middle of the motherboard.

There are tabs that you can push to release the RAM.
Remove it and put it back in place until the tabs pop out.

Loose RAM can cause your computer not to start properly where you want to see a video signal.
Remove the memory modules from their slots.
Take the opportunity to clean the slots on the motherboards and the memory module connectors.

Use compressed air to blow dust away and clean contacts with a soft cloth.
Do not use a metallic vacuum cleaner if it touches any component it may create a short and cause damage to the motherboard or other components.

Do not use solvent that may attract dust and never poke things like cotton buds in to slots, lightly rub alcohol (Methylated Spirits) on a cloth not to hard let the alcohol do the work on the copper gold or silver tabs and r

Allow the pins to dry.
They will air dry in a matter of minutes.

If reseating the memory did not resolve the issue try swapping the location of the memory. Make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket
if you remove your graphics check the socket to make sure its dust free

Restart your computer then reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard

Check the vga lead for secure dust free connection or try another vga lead.

SOURCE: picture on monitor comes on

For that when you power up the computer pressF8 key 5 to 6 times then you can see safe mode and other menu.
enter in "Enable vga mode" then go to display property and change screen resolution to 1024*768 .
But if you are not able to see any display then open cpu cabinet and reattach the RAM memory then pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes.
Reattach PCI card or cga card if any.
Make sure motherboard is not ground with cabinet.
Also reconnect both connection to harddrive.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

SOURCE: computer wont boot Evo d510

Choose within this options with regards to your monitor: 1. You could replace your monitor with a new one. 2. Or you could send someone or send it to a technician to repair your monitor.
Boot Up Problem: 1. Try checking the Power Supply Unit (PSU) if it give out 12Voltz. If not you could replace it with new PSU. 2. Check the motherboard if there are some blown out Capacitors. If there is, send it to a technician to replace it. If none, replace your Processor. That is the defective. That causes the boot up problem.
On boot up screen. Of course it will not show a boot up screen because there is a problem on your monitor. And so, there is also a problem on your motherboard (Processor or Capacitor).
Hope this might help. Thanks.

SOURCE: press start button, fan trys

If your fan is trying to start up but won't, your system is going to give you a warning and most likely shut down. Make sure you have good connection for fan power and that it is clean and can turn freely. You may want to cosider replacing the fan.

SOURCE: Won't start but CPU fan vibrates but will not go full blast. Intermittant

It appears you have a faulty CPU fan and it is causing the CPU to overheat and shut down.
I suggest you replace the CPU fan. remove any dust from the heatsink and put new heatsink compound on the CPU/heatsink.

I have a hp a350 cpu.the problem is that the light of led has gone red,as before in working condition it was green. It can't start.the power to hardisk is also not coming.please tell a sollution.

As you say has become red and no power to the hard disk.
First check the power cable for any loose connections and check if it give power to the cpu and the fan placed on processor starts working as you start the power. If fan it starts and with in few seconds stops then your power supply/SMPS is weak or damage. So replace it for proper working of your computer. And if after power on all fines but red led on monitor and no power to hard disk Try to replace the hard disk power cables because they are not working because of it no operating system is detected and led of monitor is red. After replacing hard disk cables hard disk starts working and still no display or red led on monitor check the vga cable for loose connection or replace it.If you are using vga display from graphic card try to get display first from onboard vga slot. After it your problem will disappear and your pc run smooth and fine.

I received a corrupt file message and for some reason i decided to restart my pc. the green power light comes on as well as the red light which blinks. after a few seconds the red light stops and the...

The red light is the indicator for the HDD activity , since it stop it's clear that the corrupted files were essential ones, that should have been loaded during the Windows boot process.
Your only thing left to do is to reinstall. If you're lucky you can get away with a Repair install, try it first.

Tecra M3 won't boot, hdd light comes on then off.

The hard disk can be installed in another computer, but it won't boot up and run unless the computer is the same make and model with the same devices as the previous computer.
If it is not then you need to do a fresh Windows install to get a working computer.
What you can do as an alternative is to install the hard drive in an USB hard drive adapter case and use it as an external USB hard drive.

Hi when i start up my packard bell imedia i get a red light on my tower my fan is spining and my monitor is on a amber light plz help

Assuming the monitor is fine you can try the following:
  1. Open the machine and reseat the video card; if video card is onboard try
  2. Unplug the machine and remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes; Its possible Windows didn't shut down properly and CMOS is preventing a normal startup; after replacing the battery, boot up (will probably start up in safe mode
If neither of these fixes the problem, you may have an issue with the monitor itself. Best of luck.
