Best setting for a olympus stylus tough 6000

The best setting depends on what you're taking a picture of and, more importantly, what YOU want that picture to say to the viewer. The best setting for a portrait most likely won't be the best setting for a landscape, for example. You probably won't want a picture of a grandfather to convey the same impression and mood as a picture of his granddaughter, and you probably want something different for a picture of the two of them together.
That's why the camera offers so many different settings. It just takes pictures. You MAKE pictures by deciding what to include and exclude, whether you have a deep or narrow depth of field, and all the other little things.
The camera manual tells you what the various controls do. There should be plenty of introductory photography books at your local library that will explain the effects of those controls. I suggest taking one (or more) of those books, your camera manual, and the camera itself, and experimenting to see what happens with changing the various settings. Take a lot of pictures and look at them on your computer. You can always delete these pictures when you're done.

My olympus fe-46 won't connect to my pc

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

HI-- I have just purchased an old Olympus Trip MD 35mm automatic camera, with in built flash. I think have correctly loaded the fillm and batteries, but it won't turn on...It won't take pictures...

Make sure that the batteries are good. If it does not work with known good batteries then you certainly have an issue with the camera electronics. Test to see if the on/off switch is any good.

hello kylie... begin by unplugging the phone from the charger if indeed it is plugged in. Then remove the battery and leave it without the battery for 2 full minutes. This action will cause it to reset itself. After you put the battery back in check it out for the misising functions. If there are still problems, take your phone to the phone store for their factory reset. Joe

Hi, re Olympus U840 my lens won't retract and I am hearing a musical sound from my camera. It won't take pictures, but I can review pictures already taken...is it fixable? Thnaks, Mark.

If the camera was dropped and cannot take pictures, then it is in need of professional repair, I believe.

Reviewing pictures already taken means that the memory and display on the back are ok. But, taking pictures involves mechanical issues that have been compromised, unfortunately.
