SOURCE: TI-30x...I am trying to figure out how I use this calculator

Hello,
Entering the keys and number as you write it can be done with enough parenthees to make sure calculator does what we intend it to.
But I would rather use the commutativity propertie of multiplications to same me some extra ().

Step 1
4 [(+/- change sign)][2nd][10 to the x] [ X ]6.1923 [=]
Step2
[x^2][=]
I first calculate the product 6.1928 x 10^-4 then take the square of the result. Because you can never be sure that the calculator takes 6.1923 to power 2 then multiply or multiply 6.1928 x 10^-4 and raise to power 2.
You can force the calculator with an opening parenthesis and a closing one but if you omit the ) and get an error, it may be hard to detect.

Hope it helps.

SOURCE: How to do nPr or nCr on TI-30x Solar (scientific calc.)

If you have an older version on the TI30x Solar (not TI30Xa or newer) then you must use a different key sequence for nPr/nCr.

52 [2nd][x/y] 5 [2nd][nCr] gives 2598960 (the x/y button is above the Pi symbol on my version).
8 [2nd][x/y] 3 [2nd][nPr] gives 336

This took me forever to find out, so hopefully it will help someone!

You don't. The 30X IIs runs on both solar power and a 2025 lithium battery. If you need to replace the 2025 battery, see this.

I bought it at a rummage sale and what a manual for it where can i get one? And is different from the TI 30X 11?

You can download the TI-30Xa guidebook from the manufacturer's web site at
http://education.ti.com/calculators/downloads/US/Guidebooks/Detail?id=6132

The TI-30Xa replaced the TI-30X within a year. The only enhancement was the added Constant key.

The TI-30XII, introduced about five years later, is a significantly different calculator, incorporating, among other things, a two-line display.

It seems that you are drawing Inequality Graphs.

A. If you are not drawing inequalities, kick the Ineqal application out of memory.

B. If you still want inequality drawing, but just for once want a function graph,
  1. you can open the Y= editor. The operation sign (=, less than, less than or equal to,...) will be highlighted in your equation (inequality).
  2. Press the [ALPHA] key then press the [Y=] key to select the tab corresponding to the = sign.

C. To kick The INEQUAL application from memory,
  • Press the [APPS] button.
  • In the the new screen display (INEQUAL RUNNING), select [2:Quit Inequal]
  • Return to the [Y=] editor screen to make sure that you have function graphs
