Remove Spray Paint Over Spray on Vehicle

The grill and bumper where sun faded and rusty on my pickup. Purchased Trim and Bumper spray paint to restore my grill and bumper. I painted the grill while it was still on the truck. I masked off the hood with painters tape and paint paper. The paint paper was too thin and I got some black specks from the spray paint on my hood. What's the best way to remove the paint without damaging the clear coat?

I actually have a solution for my own problem. Just wanted to post a fix for anyone else who is interested. I ended up using a rag and WD-40 and it came right off. Hope this helps!

Could try grim and wax remover/prep for auto bodies. Auto stores have it. Then polish/ wax the spot.

Remove rear bumper from 2012 Dodge Journey

Randall, remove all screw, clips, fasteners securing bumper and then any wiring harness plugs etc. attached to bumper. This is some times a 2 person job, to prevent damage to the bumper, especially when installing. A V-pry tool may be required to remove plastic fasteners easily. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Why is my car's green paint fading

Sun breaks down or crystallizes some of the pigments and plastic compounds in the paint. (And plastic headlights) Melt everything back together with a single quick swipe or spray of mild enamel or lacquer thinner with 2 to 5% lacquer or enamel clear. Even clear nail polish in 95% thinner can restore some shine, but you can't keep rubbing, it will all soften into a total mess. If you don't want to pay a shop to re-clear or paint your car, just buy a can of clear glossy spray and spray it into a jar and mix a ton of thinner into it. Dab a rag into it and apply it on a hidden part of your paint.

I had my front bumper painted and now my ac only blows warm air and the ac compressor will not kick on.

The A/C condenser is mounted right behind the bumper so, unless the painter covered the condenser or removed the bumper before spraying it, he painted the condenser as well. This is bad because the condenser must have air flow through it in order for the A/C to work properly. Try to have a look at the condenser, it looks like a smaller radiator mounted in front of the radiator and behind the grill / bumper. If it is painted, go back to the paint shop and demand it to be replaced. Also, have the radiator checked to be sure it isn't painted because that'll run into engine overheating issues.

The front and rear bumpers on my '98 Cavalier have faded. I've tried protectants, but it only lasts until a car wash or rain washes it off. How do I restore the bumpers to their original color permanently?

impossible ,but i ask jose the body man and he suggested a gel coat of epoxy resin with a bit of colour added like some paint then spray it on quick, although i dare say yoiu could roller it on

Hole in front bumper of Infiniti I30 2001

Sure. Use bondo. Do you have a paint sprayer?

Most composite bumpers have the paint in the composite, but I dont' know why, at least for a coupe or three years, the bumper wouldn't hold paint sprayed on.
