Hi Alan: Just for fun, look at the underside of the hood. Sometimes there is a diagram there. Otherwise figuring it out is sort of like a logical jigsaw puzzle. Grooved side in goes on outside of crank and driven pulleys. Smooth side out and goes on inside of idler pulleys and tensioner pulleys. Cheers

You can get a diagram from the dealer and the idler tension is the first you start to remove the belt and the last place you connect your belt. Today's car and trucks are very easy to replace the belt. I learned you start at the bottom and work your way up to the tensioner. Go for it. It's easy work
