if you only have usb connection in your modem, internet on the zyxel router will not work since it's using ethernet connection. in order for your zyxel device to work with tiscali, you will need a cable/dsl router that has ethernet connection as well. you can contact tiscali if they can provide you with that kind of modem.

hello! i will be more than glad to assist u.. first things 1st. check the type of modem do u use a, are using a cable model from a cable isp provider, dsl model or model router.. If u are using a cable modem from ur cable isp.. u need to mac clone the network interface card of your computer.. if you are using a dsl provide- it could be a pppoe or static ip addressinf, if pppoe u need to setup the username and password given to u by ur isp provider to the router or if its a static ip u need to check the ip address of you computer if its connected directly to the modem, how to check- click on start and then run, type incmd and it will give u the dos prompt, from there type ipconfig/all and it will give u all the details like ip address, subnetmask, gateway, dns server and u need to input it to the router on static ip addressing... i hope this will help..

Is it an ADSL router?? Probably it be with connection to the phone line. The only soultion their is to call your ISP

When you get that symbol in Windows 7 it usually means that there is no internet connection. You can be connected to the wireless router but still not get on line if the wireless router has lost the internet connection. Probably your best bet will be to update the firmware on the NBG-419n. The only firmware sometimes had issues staying connected to the Internet through some modems. First you will need to download the firmare. Here is a direct link. Firmware Then you need to log into the router. It will be best if you are on a computer that is connected by Ethernet to one of the LAN ports on the router. Open up Internet Explorer and type '192.168.1.1' into the address bar. You should get the login page for the NBG-419n. Default password is 1234. Once logged in click on Expert Mode at the top right corner of the page. Then click on the maintenance icon on the left side of the screen, then click the Maintenance heading to drop down the list, then click on Firmware Upload. Once in there click Browse and select that BIN file. Then click Upload. The firmware upgrade should take a couple of minutes. Once it is done you may want to power cycle your modem for a couple of minutes and then see if you can get on line. This should help with any connectivity issues.
