How do I turn off the date option?

I can't find the owners manual and the date shows up on all of my pictures. There must be some way to turn this option off, right? I have pressed every button on it but haven't hit the right combination yet. Can you please advise? Your time is much appreciated. How do I remove the date off of my pictures on my digital camera. I turned the date imprint off in the menu but it is still on my pictures. It is a Vivitar 5100.

Go to the Capture Menu. In the Capture menu, you can determine the conditions you would like to choose such as Size, Quality, Scene, EV, White Balance, ISO, Color, Saturation, Sharpness and Date Imprint. Press the MENU button and then scroll through the options. Choose "Date Imprint" option and then change it to OFF so that the Date will not be showed on the captured image. If you want the manual just download it from this site "http://www.retrevo.com/support/Vivitar-5100-Digital-Cameras-manual/id/200bh832/t/2/". Hope it helps.

If i put my camra on self timer win i print the pictures will the time show up on the pictures

The time it took the picture? You want to know if the camera will show the time it took the picture using the self timer?

My answer is Yes and No.

Do you have your camera set to showing the date and time on the pictures now? If you do, then using the self timer would not change anything.

If you do have it set to showing on the picture and you don't want the date and time to show then change the setting on the menu function of the camera and turn this option off.

If you do not already have the camera set to show the date and time, using the self timer option is not going to make it suddenly appear.

How do i remove the time and date at bottom right corner of picture.

Manual can be downloaded free from here ....

http://safemanuals.com/annexe_POWERSHOT%2020A550%2020CAMERA%2020USER%2020GUIDE%2020ADVANCED%2020_CANON_POWERSHOT%20A550-_E.htm

Basically the date stamp can be turned on / off as an option on the RECORD menu. Page 33 of the manual explains it (with pictures).

Note that if the option is turned on, it states that the date / time is permanently embedded in the picture.

Hope this helps

How to set date stamp for canon ixus 860is

:
The date and time can be included on the pictures taken only with the camera in postcard mode. You must also activate the date stamp option in the menu.
To set the camera into postcard mode, press the [Func.] button on the camera, then use the [arrow down] key to go down to the last option in the menu, and there you can choose the [Postcard mode]. Press [Func.] again to exit the function menu.
dsc_include_date01_tcm13-520510.jpgTo set the date and time stamp, press the [Menu] button and then use the [arrow down] button to go to the [Date stamp] option in the menu. You can set this to "Date" or "Date & Time". Press the [Menu] button again to exit the menu.
dsc_include_date02_tcm13-520511.jpgBe aware that if you take pictures with this option enabled, the Date and Time cannot be removed from the pictures at a further time. It will permanently appear on the picture.

How do I turn off the date time function. It can be altered but there appears to be no way to turn it off.

Well ,there's good and bad news.

the usermanual....

http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/CANON/POWERSHOT%20A2000%20IS-_E

suggests that you need to set the time and date (How to - page 18), as its stored with each image. There appears no option to turn it off "at the recording stage".

However, on page 118, hidden in the <print settings> menu the option there is the option to turn off (suppress) the date on printing.

So it would suggest that the file is kept separately from the image.
...... Which probably means if you look through the official software you see it, but if you looked at the jpeg through another viewer (such as xp media center, adobe photoshop, photosuite etc ... there are lots) it may not show up on the projected image.

Just a theory, but one worth looking into?

DATE ON PICTURES

In the Camera Settings there is an option to Enable/Disable the date stamp. Look for that option and enable it to get the date on your clicked pics. In the settings only you will find the clock settting / date/time settings to adjust the date and time. Refer your manual.
