Sylvania wireless mouse not working

I just got a Sylvania wireless optical mouse, model #SY-037R. I finally figured out where to install the batteries and so now the mouse lights up. I've plugged in the USB and my system claims to have downloaded the drivers but the mouse still doesn't work. Is there something else I need to do? I tried rebooting, but that didn't help. No instructions were included. :(

My SYLVANIA mouse model # SY-040R is not working. It worked for about a month and then stopped working. It is a usb retractable optical mouse. Please Help!

optical mice suffer issues like anything else, just because it has no moving parts, doesn't mean it's never going to quit.Try the obvious, move the mouse to another port on this machine or another machine, to confirm the malfunction, after this I would encourage you to take your newly confirmed mistake back to the retailer, as it is only 30 days old.

My battery is new. The light on the receiver is on, the driver is installed correctly, the red light on the mouse is on, (though not changing brightness levels like it normally does). And there's nothing...

Perhaps when changing batteries they lost the connection/pairing.
I don't know this particular mouse, but usually there's a small "connect" button on both the mouse and the receiver, you have to press them both for the devices to pair.

Connection procedure for Toshiba N745 mouse needed.

I don't know if this is the same as my mouse. However I have a satellite1955-S803 with wireless detachable keyboard and full sized optical wireless mouse. The original owner said it came with the laptop.
First I tried very hard to get the keyboard working. After a frustrating day of calling Toshiba, I noticed the "detachable" latches. I removed the keyboard to find a battery compartment. 4 days go by with me calling Toshiba trying to get a replacement. Finally found a battery at batteries plus that does work. about half the mAhr of the original but hey it works.
Now to the mouse. Replaced the AA's batteries but couldn't tie the mouse to the computer. I run linux so no M$ driver would help. Finally found a PDF of the manual and it says "if the mouse has trouble activating, press the wireless mouse button on the laptop."
That button is on the front left edge of the laptop (where the "Intel inside", "XP loaded", and "nvidia" stickers are located ) just to the left of the front silver "mode" button. Under the mouse press the connect button. (round near the optic laser but un-labled) then press the wireless mouse button on the computer and there you go. It just connects and works.
2 weeks I looked for this and it was just that simple.

Does anyone know where the battery goes for the sylvania wireless mouse sy 037r??

The silver section next to the word Sylvania slides off. There is a release under the black curved under the word Sylvania. I used a flat head screw driver to gently slip between the silver plastic and black rubberized section and gently pressed down. It pops out. The small hole where the usb connector fits stays with the mouse and a small silver section slides off. For some reason I got it off once, and then it took a long time to find the release a second time. Good luck

Do I need an AAA battery to make it working?

The batteries go into the back just press the word sylvania while sliding the silver backing/sides away, but not too hard or far or you'll break the plastic tabs. Good luck

Changing the batteries in a hp optical wireless mouse

From pictures, it looks like the top part of that mouse slide down.

Try holding it with the buttons facing toward you, and pushing with your thumbs on the top silver piece of the mouse away from you.

I just bought a SY-037W Cordless Mini Travel Optical Mouse. How do you get the batteries into it as there were no instructions.

I know how to do that, you will press on the SYLVANIA gray letters on the upper black part of the mouse this will realease the batteries cover and pull out the cover and voila you where the batteries place

Can't install battery

Looking at the pictures of the mouse, it looks like the silver side/back piece slides back to reveal the battery compartment.

Microsoft wireless notebook optical mouse 1024`

I have a Microsoft wireless optical mouse 3000. There is a silver button on the end of the mouse that usually faces you when using the mouse. Press that silver button- while holding the button in, use your fingernail or something to help with gently lifting the main panel on the top part of the mouse. Lift up on the end of the panel that is closest to the silver button. The panel comes entirely off, revealing the inset battery. It took me a while to figure it out since I installed the first battery.. it has lasted over a year. Hope this helps with yours. Have a blessed day!
