You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop. This will open the page where the specific drivers for your model laptop are located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the driver for your Windows operating system. Click on this link :- http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen
For windows xp to be compatabe with laptops or desktops with sata drives you will need a driver that is written to a floppy disk and inserted during the windows install it will prompt you to hit F6 during the install early on for additional drivers.
I looked on dells' site's support page for your laptop and unfortunately they do not support XP for your model. Even if you installed it none of your video, chipset, webcam, or audio would run correclty. you only have vista and 64 bit vista as an option.
