If you recently changed your password, Messenger will not automatically update it. You will need to switch to a desktop or laptop and update your new password in Messenger.

"To manually update Yahoo! Messenger with your new account password:

1. Open Yahoo! Messenger.
2. On the main Yahoo! Messenger sign in screen, clear out your Yahoo! ID:
- Select your Yahoo! ID in the Yahoo! ID box and press Delete on your keyboard.
3. Clear out your old password:
- Select your password in the Password box and press Delete on your keyboard.
4. Type your Yahoo! ID and new password in the Yahoo! ID and Password boxes.
5. Leave the Remember my ID & password checkbox checked, if you wish.
6. Click Sign In."

Please clear your cache and cookies before entering your new password. This will allow the system to update and recognize your password.

Passwords are case sensitive and must be typed exactly as it appears on file.

When signing in from a mobile device, please note that some mobile devices are set to automatically capitalize the first letter.

Recovering or reactivating a deleted Yahoo account
To reactivate your account

1. On a desktop or laptop computer, visit the Yahoo Sign In page.
2. Enter your Yahoo ID and password.
3. Confirm your Yahoo ID and complete the CAPTCHA verification.
4. Select Reactivate at the bottom of the page.

If successful, the reactivation can take up to 24 hours. Keep in mind that some account data may be lost and not recoverable.
While it may be possible to recover certain deleted or inactive Yahoo Mail accounts, recovery isnot possible if:

• The account was deactivated due to a violation of the Terms of Service.
• The account was deleted due to inactivity (you must sign-in at least once every 12 months).

Your Yahoo ID is linked to a broad array of Yahoo services, from Yahoo Messenger to online games. A Yahoo ID must be deleted from a laptop or desktop, not a mobile device. If you signed up for a paid service, such as Yahoo Mail Plus, the company recommends manually canceling the service -- independent of your Yahoo ID deletion -- to avoid future bills. The best attempt to unlock your ID is, try to login not by yahoo messenger, but by mail of yahoo which has a same user name and password that been locked. Sometime, this step worked, but make sure after your login to yahoo mail and success, you have to change your password with new password, and then you can login to yahoo messenger with new password that you just been created.

If you try to send a complain to the contact of yahoo messenger, It will useless. Yahoo doesn’t care what happen to your if you go locked.

To protect your ID or to prevent Lock ID, you must have a strong password. I will suggest you to not chat with your primary email in yahoo messenger. Sometime yahoo makes a prohibition to some of ID. This mean your ID can be banned by yahoo and your ID never be join to yahoo messenger or yahoo email again.

To create a strong password you must use all character who listed in your keyboard. Such as uppercase, number, and symbol. You must be create password which have not less 8 character or more.

Here I give you an example a strong password: H4rP3 ^&* (with 3 space on it). To make a better password work well, you have to change your password frequently: 3 week or 3 month, depending how strong and important your password i
