52D82U Fuzzy picture

I have been enjoying our LCD Sharp Aquos 52D82U until recently the picture comes in fuzzy through HD filled sites that were once crystal clear. I am sure my wife or i hit the wrong buttons and now we are lost in the settings area. "HDMI" would appear on the screen when we went to these sites and now its says ANALOG - STEREO. THe picture is fuzzy. I have it set to STRETCH, HDMI, ANALOG CC1, 16X9. I have shut off TV and rebooted cable box. What do i need to do to correct?

Change your input source. You are probably on Input Source "TV". My HDMI cable is plugged in INPUT 4 so make sure that your TV is set to the right INPUT.

How do i change from 480i to 1080i on a sharp 52"

You don't. The TV picture will be fuzzy when watching a program in 480. If you have a lot of video in 480 or 720 you can get an up scaler. They are expensive, but that is the only way you'll ever get a Hi def picture from a low resolution signal

New vizio 26'' hdtv seems sharp from a distance, but pixalated and

it is important to understand the difference in digital cable and high def. high definision is on a fiber optic display alwing milions of pixels per square inch on your tv. the resolution effects your fuzzy picture you are recieving . the only real way to fix that fuzzy dull picture is to get a HD box from your cable provider and an HDMI cable to conect it to your HD TV. this is the only connection you will need for picture and top line sound. In the end the fee is usually $9.95 or less a month and it is well worth the difference in quality of TV viewing.

Aquos 46" getting multiple lines when using AV cables

Criminy! This is amongst it's several fatal flaws. I strongly suggest that you RUN, DO NOT WALK-- back to where you purchased it, and get your money back. Then, coffee in hand, sift through a few "Consumer Report" type ezines & find a better model to own!

Sharp Aquos LC-65D64U Picture Quality

You need to change your TV's settings and enhancements. Directly from the store and out of the box, the settings are adjusted for easiest sell in the store. That means that:
Your contrast is cranked to 100. Move this down to 50 to 60.
Your brightness may also be cranked up high. Lower it to a level nearer the middle range but not so dark as to lose detail in the shadows.
Your TV is set on "Dynamic" or "Vivid" mode. Pick "natural" or "normal" or standard.
Your sharpness is at least on, if not cranked up. Turn sharpness down or off, and the same with "Edge Enhancement" and "VSM", all to off.

Lastly, I bet you upgraded size and you are now sitting too close to the TV. Roughly, if you are sitting closer than 130 inches (about 11 foot) you might do some rearranging or save some money and get a smaller TV.

FUZZY (SNOWY) PICTURE

Well, I can tell you it shouldnt have anything to do with your not having an HD box. The TV does not require a HD signal to give you a quality picture. The HD box only gives you the enhanced HD signal, but should work as any regular TV without it. How do you have it connected?

Snowy picture on certain channels and only sometimes

Hello, the best option for you is to put another (small) TV instead of plasma to check whether your cable is OK. If you need more info please advice. Arpi
