This is an old watch and the battery inside has "Timex Type A" stamped into it. Does anyone know where I could find a replacement for this battery? I've searching on line but no joy.
Thanks Strech, I've been looking for that battery for days. Btw, that's a very nice scooter you have as your thumbnail picture. Thanks again
Thanx! It's my baby. Been riding it in this configuration for the last 7 years.

Take this watch into Walmart or Target and they will replace the battery for you, for about the same price as the battery. DO NOT go to Radio Shack. It IS an older watch, but the batteries are still being made for it. IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE with this, open the watch and remove the battery, and read the type on the battery. That is the best place to find the correct model/type of battery it needs. You can also take it to a Timex trained watch or jewelry store. It costs a bit more, but you will have a new watch battery, and it will be covered if it leakes on you.
SOURCE: Replaced battery, now no beep.
I have a Timex Digital Heart Rate Monitor 585 (product code T5C351F5)m, which has the same Short AC Pad and battery +ve message. There is an arrowhead pointing to the pad. It's a raised metal platform - a bit different to some of the Ironman's mentioned above. Here is a pic...
