Generally the problem is only the beaters. They may no longer be aligned in a perpendicular line and are slightly bent, just enough to make them click. You may have to replace the beaters to get satisfaction.

My unit is an 10-speed Oster Regency controlled power kitchen center. on the bottom of the base there is a Service No. 970-04A.

I've got one of those, it's a pretty nice system.
