I would like tho if you would change the Thamnks for trying Rating to something rather more palitable, can you try getting in the menu using the frount of the TV? or you can buy a unviversal remote to do this change as well, ThanksI would like tho if you would change the Thamnks for trying Rating to something rather more palitable, can you try getting in the menu using the frount of the TV? or you can buy a unviversal remote to do this change as well, Thanks
Ok, there should be a add/del channel funtion in there as there is with mine please check and see if it has not been deleted. By obmitting this function in the menu you should be able to access the RCA/input there also shouls be a A/V to change from Cable to ANT function in there check to see if that option does not obmit the fact there is plugs in the frount of this TV if so pleasse ombmit your rating to Fixya thanks for talking with me over this issue to help me better resolve this issue, looking forward to hearing from you.Ok, there should be a add/del channel funtion in there as there is with mine please check and see if it has not been deleted. Connect the composite video RCA (yellow) cable output of the DVD player to the TV's video input RCA (yellow jack). Connect the red and white RCA cable from the DVD players audio output to the TV's audio input (red and white jacks). Select the source input from the TV's control panel - if it has an input selector switch, set it to select the video source from the front panel input jacks if you connected the three cables - yellow, red and white on the front of the set. Or, change the channel to receive the video auxiliary input source instead of the broadcast station.
Connect the yellow/red/white out from the VCR to the same inputs on the 2160. Press setup. select general. select video select video input. select L1 or L2. press ok. select video or s-video. press setup to exit. select HDD or DVD (whichever you want to record to) use source or channel to select L1 or L2 press rec mode to select sp/lp/ep/etc press record to start recording start playback on the input device press stop to stop recording. The manual is available as a PDF file on the web. It would save a lot of typing... tom
if you have a cable that has 1 red 1 yellow and 1 white plug it will usually work plug the white cable into the white input and try alternating the yellow and red in the yellow input
Change the source on the Philips/Magnavox to switch between satellite and movies (warning: this particular Philips/Mag cannot process HD Satellite receiver boxes). You can switch sources by using the Magnavox remote and pressing 0-2. Then press ch down until the display says either L1 or L2 - whichever input the satellite is connected to. Another warning: For my instructions to work, you must have a non-HD satellite receiver, and you must run a red, white and yellow cable from the satellite box to the Magnavox instead of a standard coaxial cable wire (and then, of course, run a second set of red, white and yellow cables from the Magnavox to your TV).
You need to plug a red, white, and yellow cord from the red, white, and yellow OUT of your cable or satellite box into the red, white, and yellow labelled VCR IN/LINE 1 on the Philips. To view what you are trying to record, make sure there is another red, white, and yellow cable plugged from the DVD/VCR OUT of the Philips to your television. Make sure the television is on the appropriate source channel (AUX 1, AUX 2, VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2, etc). Then press the VCR button on the Philips. You should now see your cable or sat channel (as long as it's not an HD Satellite box) on the television screen. Press record, and you are on your way. Good luck!
Is simply. get the audio/vido cables and look on the back of the TV and connect from the audio video outputs from the combo to the audio video inputs on the tv. remember the colors of the terminals and connect them that matches the red, white (audio) and the yellow (video). Using the remote locate the button "input" or "source", and select video 1 or 2, depending where you connected it.
thanks for quick reply, but it just changes the channel. and yes, i dont have the remote anymore.
