I have a hot dog roller grill model#hdr565 the receptacle is broken.

Then you are stuck with it, either that or you search for a replacement receptacle online & then take it back

I bought my son an old fashioned hot dog roller for Christmas. It worked great the first time and the second time he went to use it, the rollers wouldn't roll. I've read several reviews on this product...

The 5 rollers are operated by 9 small gears that a run by the center gear which is turned by the motor on your machine. The gears in between the rollers help drive the next roller as you move outward from the center. The gears are made of what looks like pot metal, (cheap junk). The teeth break on the gears easily and either stick or won't operate the next roller. You can take the unite apart using a thin screw driver an pry the 6 flange on the drive side and straigten the flange with needle nose plyers. It then prys apart. If any teeth are broken, you can only buy a whole new grill part from Nostalgia Electrics. Cost is 20.00. They won't just sell the junk gears

How long do you put hot dogs on the roller grill?

Hi,
Once you have the rollers hot (10 min.) it should only take about ten minutes for the dogs to heat up... they are fully cooked so you anly have to get them hot, but you can let them on for a much longer time if you want too, like if you are selling them at a stand...

My Grill will no longer lift

I just had mine apart today because the cable broke. There is only one damper, in the left side where the pedal is. The other side is controlled by a cable that is strung on rollers. My cble broke so i had to replace it with one from a hardware store. I noticed that everything needs to be oiled for the system to work good. The gas strut/damper is inside of the lift tube. I would think it could be matched up with one from an automotive store. Autozone has a pretty good selection of them. But, The strut that is in the grill has a special end on it to fit the lift tube, you would have to somehow fabricate a new end or try to cut and weld or braze the old one onto the new strut. I have not had the strut problem yet because when I store the grill I leave it in the up position. this takes the stress and pressure off of the strut. Hope this helps.

My grill is falling apart.

I don't know in which country you reside so maybe you can or can't.

I have seen replacement burners in both Home Depot and Lowes 'home improvement centers.'
Your grill was probably not made by Frigidaire but one of the major grill manufacturers so you may need to do some research to determine what you need.
