My GLTR1670AS0 Fridgidaire front load washer starts, fills, drains, but doesn't tumble. the timer goes through the entire cycle chimes end of cycle and unlocks the door, all in about 10-15 seconds. I checked the belt, and the motor and tub turn free by hand.
Is this a bad timer or a circuit board or what ,any ideas?

Don't have much experience on Frigidaire. Is the motor a brush type, capacitor type or one of those new DC types? If it's got brushes and they are ok, then I would say your armature is up the creek. If it's a capacitor type (unlikely) then the capacitor is most likely duff. If it's the new DC type it could be a lot of things, most likely the module which breaksdown and passes an AC component in the motor supply which make the motor tremble but not rotate

This is a fault that resides within the motor control board. you will need to replace this failed module asap if possible. it has failed.

Hi,
The best way to check is to use an electrical meter and check for power going to the motor....if you have power and the motor does not run then the motor is bad...
It is also very possible that the motor is not getting power and that a relay is bad...that could be much more difficult to track down...

Hi
If the cycle won't complete then either it's a problem with the timer or a cold-water supply problem:-
If your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water.
