No video but good audio Mitsubishi VS5051. Check R509 and R 519, 100 ohm resistors located on the main PCB near the flyback transformer. Also bad connections on any of the yokes and the vertical output IC will cause the same problem.

SHUT DOWN CAN BE INTERMITTENT OR AT POWER ON. CHECK FOR LEAKEY OR SHORTED Q570 PART # 260P560040 ON THE MAIN PCB.

Mitsubishi 5051

I can help you here follw my pictures and be sure you have a reciever hooked up so the TV can identify it.In some cases like in picture #2 you have to tell the TV that its on by entering it in your self ,(notice the pic.2 Ive selected NO on right side ) you have to use the Volume /Enter keys to make the change, and you probably already learned that you have to highlite each move your at that your changing.d116022.jpg9f9fa1f.jpg

Mitsubishi vs-5051

First you can safely take off back and look for Screen controls&Focus, Gently turn up the 3 screen controls this will add light to picture, but you need to evenly turn up, the 3 colors are red, blue, green. the other 3 knobs are for focus. Do not turn them if you do you will need to realign the focus also. And if this doesn't help then there is a high voltage capacitor leaky in the flyback area.
