If you have changed batteries you need to re-since, there should be a little red button on bottom and a button on reciever.

basically all the things you went through for the initial setup

Gateway wireless keyboard detection

Insert the installation CD that came with your wireless keyboard set into your computer's CD-ROM drive.

Use the CD to install the drivers for the wireless peripherals.

Insert batteries into the keyboard .

Use a screwdriver to remove any screws that hold the battery bay covers closed.

Connect the wireless signal receiver to your computer.

Receivers for wireless keyboard and mouse sets usually use a USB connector.

Your computer will automatically detect the receiver.

Turn on your keyboard if the devices have power buttons.

Press the "Sync," "Connect" or "Pair" buttons on the keyboard , depending on your model.

If present, press the "Connect" button on the wireless signal receiver as well.

Your wireless keyboard set is now connected.

hope this helps

My keyboard is n't typing? I have a laptop.

reinstall the driver ..and check the plugs for proper insert ...if there was a problem and you started the pc ..and do not sow the device ...( problem like unpluging ..or out of batteries..) it is the chance that you need to go to the device manager ..and update the driver ...( from the disc ) or automatically cause the driver is still installed into the pc ...

After changing the batteries and cleaning the corrosion out of the battery case, I pressed the connect button on the Logitech receiver, then the red restart button on the underside of the keyboard and it was fixed!

Wireless keyboard and optical mouse

Thanks! I fixed the problem by installing a USB mouse and using fn+f9. That unlocked the mouse so I could use the pointer leaving just the keyboard problem. I then tried reconnecting the wireless keyboard (by using the button on the receiver and under the keyboard) Hey Presto!!

Blue Rectangular box

I looked around and could not find any explanation either....strange.

I downloaded the software and installed it and even though I don't have your hardware it worked. Here's what I know:

The blue box on my desktop had 5 icons, the number 1, the letter A, a down pointing arrow, a keyboard, and a mouse.

The 1 lights up when you have the Num Lock set on your keyboard.

The A lights up when you have Caps Lock set on your keyboard.

The downward arrow lights up when you have Scroll Lock set on your keyboard.

I do not know when the the keyboard and mouse lights will illiuminated. I am guessing that perhaps they'll turn red when your batteries are low, but that's just a guess.

Lastly, I don't get paid for this, I just like helping to solve problems. For whatever reason half the people who use this site don't rate the solutions. If you found this information helpful I hope you take a moment and vote.

I'll keep looking to see if I can find an actual manual that fully describes this software.

Computer not recognizing Keyboard, only Mouse

I'm having the same problem. Mouse works great but the keyboard doesn't. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software at least twice via remote desktop- done a hard reboot on the hardware (it's a Logitec wireless keyboard) - I've even tried installing it on another computer and the keyboard and mouse both work great! I just can't get it to work on my computer. The curious thing is that the side buttons (like sleep work) but it won't Ctrl Alt Del so I can login - what am I doing wrong? Are there settings that need to be changed?
