What are you using on the HDMI cable. you may need to change the setting on that and not the tv. or you have the tv stuck in Zoom. if it is stuck in Zoom you will need to rest the tv back to factory setting.

Testimonial: "The tv is not stuck in zoom, already tried that, it happens in all of aspect ratio's settings. The HDMI cable goes from direct tv dvr box to the tv and in the settings on tv I have selected HDMI as my option over cable, satelite, or antenna. Also I have tried to reset to factory default settings to see if that would correct the problem and it didnt help."

I have a Insignia Plasma tv model NS-42P650A11 it is not getting any channels now. Worked then the other day it stopped having any channels, I've unhooked everything for awhile then rehooked everything...

First, I'm not a Insignia representative.
* Check your warranty. call for support.

*** Following for information only.***
* No signal means no usable signal for a specific input on the TV or monitor. Check your cable box. Contact your cable service provider.
* If it's just a monitor and not a multi-function TV that also has a Computer to video input then you need to check the device that's hooked up to the monitor as single function monitor's usually only have one input.
* If this is a TV then you need to go to the TV menu and check the "Input Source" to make sure it's on the input plug your using. (I'm using HDMi-2 on my laptop to TV)
* If it's not on the correct input then there will be a different signal (DVD, VCR, etc.) or none at all (No Signal) if those units are turned off.
* Unplug all devices (to reset) and count to 10. Power up and perform set up to your existing configuration.
* Note; as of Jan 2018 most cable TV are not broadcasting in analog (chan 3) and must use a digital tuner to get signal. Some cable Co. provide converters (for a fee?)
* Check with your service provider for more information.

PS, If you do have a damaged input (or feed) then check your video device for alternative outputs; IE: RCA Vid-Right-Left audio, HDMI, Split video (Y-G-B), VGA, S-plug, etc.

* This your model?; https://www.cnet.com/products/insignia-ns-42p650a11/specs/
* I notice there is no cable input. Try switching to another of inputs;
2 x HDMI input - rear
Composite video input - rear
S-Video input - rear
2 x component video input - rear
Audio line-out
VGA input - rear
2 x audio line-in - rear
Digital audio output (optical)

The power light is on but no picture comes on. Screen is black. Also no sound. What is wrong?

Check on the cable connection between TV and cable box, secure tightly hook up. Then check input setting for HDMI - normally HDMI 1/2/3 , then "COAX" use channel 3 or 4/ You can also try to press arrow down button until you reach a channel. If you are using cable remote try to also check the input setting using original Tv remote control. Then try to powercycle the cable box and Tv conenction.

Hi! My mother gave me an Insignia HDMI TV, and I can't figure out how to hook either my Wii console or Sony DVD player to the TV. I transfered all of the audio/visual cables from the old TV to the new TV...

Hey there!
Is there a button on the set or remote that says "input" or "source"? That will change the input settings from cable, to HDMI or RCA (aux).

Just got the TV and trying to set it up using DISH network. Getting a "weak or no signal" message.

Hello! I hope that you have been able to get that picture on your tv. Here are some simple steps for you.

If you are at TV1, where the receiver box is located, the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4. Depending on the cable that is running between the receiver and the tv, the tv may need to be on an input, such as video 1 or 2. If you are at the TV2 location, where there is no receiver, then the tv needs to be on channel 60 or 73.

If you are using an HDMI cable, your tv usually needs to be on am HDMI input. If you are using component cables, usually the tv needs to be on a component input. RCA cables need to be on a Video input. If you are using coax cable, no cable is needed.

I hope this helps.

Insignia 37 inch lcd inputs not working except for hdmi inputs

TV when hooked to Direct TV by HDMI will not work, it must be hooked by RCA cables. I now have 1080i rather than 1080P. The HDMI cable and the direct TV box has been changed. What can the problem be?

No Non-Hd sound

I had the exact same problem on a brand new Insignia 26 " LCD with DVD. Comcast tech was able to fix it by changing the Comcast box diagnostics. Here is what he did. Using the Comcast remote with the TV on - press power, cable, menu in that order. A comcast diagnostic srceen will appear. Select Additional HDMI options, then audio options. Change the audio options to L-PCM. Press power again to exit the diagnostics. That will fix it and you get to use the HDMI cable.
