  • armychic Feb 21, 2009

my problem may be the same. It will fill with water but then when it's time to start to begin spinning the wash it will spin only three-quarter of the way and stop. I put it on spin only and it does the same thing. I can hear the motor trying to do something but no full spin or advance to the rest of the cycle. PLEASE HELP.

Had same problem with GE wssh300 front load washer. Removed two screws from front bottom panel (under washer front). Pulled off panel, loosened screw from a seal ring on the rubber flex hose going to a 4" square plastic housing. Reached down inside and found a ton of lint (probaby a 2" balls worth) jamming outlet. Removed lint an works geat. Very easy to do by tilting front of washer up and putting supports under front to keep elevated. Be careful to make sure supports are sturdy washer can't dop when servicing.

Plug off the wall. Clean out your outlet filter. Access is a door in the front bottom of your machine, be prepared for some water to come out. Refit.

Kelwrizzt's solution was spot on. My blockage wasn't caused by lint, but the underwire from one of my girlfriend's bras. That and a few weed eater strings. So I guess we're both at fault. Thanks a ton.

Praise the Lord! I think it worked!! I pulled out a swelled, black, goopy, smelly nursing pad out of the outlet filter along with a quarter, some, screws, several bobby pins, and a Wendy's straw wrapper.

Washer won't spin

Check the washer motor. Make sure that the motor is getting correct voltage and is working and spinning when you turn it on. It sounds like the motor is bad. You can remove the back cover to get to the motor to check it out

Ge front load washer model WSXH208A Will not spin

Mine kept stopping mid cycle also, pouring water on the floor, then the start/pause button flashed and the door unlocked. I found the solution to clean the lint filter on the GE Adora. Go to http://www.instructables.com/id/GE-Adora-Lint-Filter-Cleanout/?download=pdf

I just did this and my washer is now running instead of the flashing start/pause and door unlocking. It was fairly easy. Make sure you have towels and a flat pan to catch the water if you don't have the machine on a riser. There may be water inside so a wet vac may be helpful too. Once my washer finishes what was in it, I have these funky towels to clean. You'll be very surprised what you find in the filter! Best of luck!

GE Adora front load washer overloaded now won't start

Washers - Resetting Electronic Controls on a Washer

If there is a pause in the washer cycle, the controls will lock up. The pause can occur because of a power failure or it was put in the test mode at the factory.

Also, if the washer was stopped before the cycle was complete or the consumer has pushed the stop/pause button to temporarily stop the cycle and the cycle is not reset. Over a period of 24 hours, the washer will pump out and spin, but will stay in the final spin.

To correct the situation, shut off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or unplug the washer, then turn the timer knob around and back to any position other than final spin. Verify the water is turned on and restore power. This should resolve the issue.

Washer does not spin

I have a GE WSSH300G0WW washer and it is doing the same thing except I can not go to any other cycle to get it to spin. The water is just sitting in the machine right now.
