Washer fills, washes but won't spin. washes back and forth just no fast spin. Since it does not spin , won't drain either.
THANK YOU. for those of you with a screw driver, here are the photos on how to.
It takes a philips screw driver and 20 minutes. The white screws may
not align perfectly but don't worry, just get them to go back in the
hole(no harm done).
I'm going to admit it was my wife that found this fix, so now I give the step by step photos.

My GE Adora front load washing machine will lock the door, spin to the left a couple of seconds, spin to the right a couple of seconds, then unlock the door. It does this with no water inside and will not cycle at all.
I had a similar problem...with the added issue of the door not locking at all. I cleaned the filter and all is well. However, it took me hours to find the 3 screws everyone was talking about The screws are at the very bottom of the washer, under the lip, facing front. If your machine sits on a pedestal drawer like mine, they are located between the machine and the pedestal. I hope these pics save someone a little time...

Model #GCVH6260 (Canada) dispenser fills with water but does not dispense the softener and remains in the dispenser
I know this was posted nearly a year ago...
But, we had the same problem with our washer-- the dispenser wouldn't work on the softner and bleach. After googling all the threads I could find, I decided to run the "quick wash" cycle with vinegar a few times (just like you would do when cleaning a coffee machine).
Everything looked so clean inside the dispenser and it still seemed to have the problem. So, I began to think that perhaps it wasn't filling the holding area enough with water-- which in turn would not allow the softner and bleach to be added to the clothes. I double-checked the water lines and found that we had turned the water presure down because of water hammer. I turned up the pressure, and now everything works fine-- except now we have to deal with the water hammer!
We hope this discovery helps some others out there...

i have a ge front load washer that leaks from the bottom. it appears to be leaking from two small holes on the underside that are located on a small protruding square located on the front right side if looking at the washer from the front. if you elevate the right side it doesn't leak, but when level it seems to almost pour. i can't find any diagrams or schematics on the model so i'm afraid to rip it open and dig around without some guidance. i'm competent but also a worrywort. any advice would be most appreciated.

water leaking through soap dispenser drawer
OLDFIXER was exactly right ! I had water gushing out of my LIQUID detergent tray. I removed the tray by pushing down on the flexible tab at the back of the tray and when I had the tray out I discovered A LARGE AMOUNT OF DAMP powder detergent caked up on the inside. I removed it all and sprayed some hot water inside AND ITS COMPLETELY FIXED !!! GOD BLESS OLD FIXER.

The control locked light is on and it will not allow me to do anything else. I have pushed OPTIONS AND SELECT button at the same time and it is not responding. How do I reset this and how did this happen? Help I need to do laundry!
Try buttons "dry" & "spin" together for a few seconds. This is the child lock display.
Or press "end of cycle" for over 5 seconds.
Or press "options & select" till the light goes off.
Works for other machines..............And please rate me if helped

I have a GE washer GCVH6260 and all of a sudden the door won't open it indicates door lock and nothing seems to unlock the door (I have unplug severasl time for several hours and nothing) can you help me.
We had the same problem and there is a wiring harness right at the door and I guess over time closing the door or the vibration from the spin cycle worked it loose. It would click and click like it was trying to lock but then the cycle would not start and it would just humm like it was trying to start the water. Make sure before you start to unplug the washer. The harness plug is on the side of the drum right at the door. If you take the bottom panel off and take the bottom two screws out and pull the panel out as much as you can you can see it there on the side. Just plug it back in and you are good to go.

My GE washer keeps pausing itself
The most common problem i have seen is the door lock has failed, but it can also depend on what part of the cycle it is pausing on.The other more common problem is the main control panel has gone bad,
Check to make sure there are no obstructions that would cause the drain pump not to pump out water.

I want to remove the pedestals from my GE washer and dryer. What is the best way to do this?
Hello,
Follow the steps below;
1. Turn off the water supply valves on the wall behind the washer and unplug the washer's power cable.
2. Open the bottom drawer of the pedestal and remove all of the contents.
3. Remove the drawer from the pedestal by pulling the drawer all the way out until the slides are fully
extended. Remove the bolts on the slides or press the tabs in on the sides of the slides, then pull out the
drawer.
4. Disconnect the washer inlet lines from the rear of the washer using an adjustable wrench.
5.Disconnect the drain hose by squeezing the squeeze clamp with pliers and sliding the hose off.
6. Tip the washer and pedestal onto the their backs with the help of several strong, able-bodied partners.
7. Remove the bolts from the inside of the top of the pedestal that secure the pedestal to the washer.
8. Pull the pedestal away from the washer.
9.Lift the washer back to its upright position.
10. And that would be all.
I hope the above helps.
Good luck.
