Bad echo in ear piece while talking

You can try adjusting the volume and see if any results. Try to verify if it is a hardware defect by using a Bluetooth piece and if you get better results.

I hear my voice echo some of the time (no particular relation to location) when I talk to someone. Why and how do I get it fixed? Thanks

This has no problem to do with the phone as far as i know.
It occurs normally when you are talking to someone who happens to be in a very quite and large room without that it empty. this is due to the empty vaccumm that causes the sound that is produced to be reflected back into themic of the phone and as a result causes you to hear your voice.
Also, another thing that causes it is when you talk to someone who puts the call on loudspeaker and there are multiple surfaces causing the reflection of the sounds you make.
In summary, there is nothing wrong with your phone and you just need to tell whoever you are talking to to try and move to an area that is a bit occupied so as to prevent echoes.

I can hear my own voice echoing during calls to other phones. The worst is when I talk to my wife who also has the same phone Samsung Instinct with Sprint Any way to fix this? The echo will at times last...

It's a common problem with the network. There is nothing you can do but call back the person. Anyone tells you different they are pulling yor leg, my wife and I have Iphones for 3 years now, and sometimes it will happen for a few weeks and then stop. Some phones do it more than others, you can try an upgraded sim card, but if you have everything new I doubt it will help, sorry.
