Could your problem be room humidity? in fast, the paper doesn't have time to get saturated with moisture. see if the rollers that feed the paper are making contact with the sheet. perhaps the bottom idler roller isn't coming up far enough.

Photo Paper keeps jamming

It's the top rollers, the paper is too slick to get through them. I'm using HP photo paper, in an HP printer. It needs to do a 180, but gets jammed right where it prints, so the paper never makes it to the ink. It's an engineering problem by HP. I suggest putting a rough surface on the top edge of the photo paper, something removable but rough enough for the printer to pull the photo paper through.

Paper jammed but no paper is jammed.

Sounds like something has fallen into the paper path. Use a flashlight and small mirror to look down the slot where the paper goes. You may have to use a straightened paper clip or the like to help remove the obstruction.

Ink not dry and significant smudging

there r various modes in the printer in which u have to print .and that u have to select.as you said it is printing properly on ordinary paper.the printer is perfect.the photo paper have less soaking power that ordinary paper.as the photo paper can consume ink but not so quickly as ordinary paper.
u just change that printmode and then check out how it prints.
for example the modes r ----------best mode printing.
better mode printing.
fine mode printing
normal mode printing.
draft mode printing
economy mode printing.
now i f u print in best mode it will consume lots of ink but will take lots of time to print.
if u select normal mode it will consume less ink and print quickly.

u can change the settings in printer properties.
thanks

Photo paper jamming.

You didnt tell us what phtopaper you use. Especially the weight of the paper! Brother printers are known to have probs with paper thicker then 220g. The paperfeeder cant feed the paper correctly into print position.

another reason might be that the paper isnt placed well into position. Have a look around the FAQ, too:

http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/as/nz/en/faq/faq_top.htm?reg=as&c=nz&lang=en&prod=mfc440cn_all

BTW: If you print a lot of photos it might be cheaper to do that with a (online) print shop.
