Maybe there's a seal or something somewhere I should look at. Hose and pressure from house is good, the seal whee the hose attaches to the bottom of the washer is new?? Any Help?

This is usually a problem with the "dump valve" defective in not being able to hold the pressure but only able to release it prematurely as it should only do so when to much pressur is built up inline. Only recommend qualified pump tech. But check pump oil level and add 10w 30 pump oil if needed and retry. Also see my TIPS AND TRICKS ON PAGE

How do I prime my flotec 4022 pump

A number of Flotec pump manuals are available here: http://www.flotecpump.com/ResidentialResourcePage_resourcepage_ownersmanuals.aspx . The site lists a FP4022-10 pump with the direct link to the manual here: http://www.flotecpump.com/resources/images/514.pdf .

For this type of pump, there should be a priming plug or priming tee. Remove the plug (or tee) and pour water into the pump. Keep adding water until the pump and all of the piping to the well is full of water. If a priming plug or tee was also added on the suction side of the pump, open that section and fill all of the piping on the suction side with water. Replace the plugs/tees then open a faucet in the house. Start the pump. After 2-3 minutes, turn off the pump if no water has come through the unit. Add more water through the priming plug or tee (or multiple plugs and tees). Then repeat closing the priming ports and start the pump after opening a faucet. Once the pump is actually pumping water, turn off the open faucet. Wait for the pump to shut off once it reaches full pressure. Open one or two faucets to check that the pump is properly sensing the pressure changes and maintaining system water pressure.

If the unit didn't pull water from the well, check the piping for air leaks. See the full trouble-shooting guide in the manual. Page 9 has the priming information and page 10 has the trouble-shooting guide.

I hope this helps.

Why doesnt my powerwasher pump out water

check for a blocked jet in the end of the wand ( squashed hoses or blocked hose to the wand)
the blocked jet has the same affect as not pulling the trigger and the pressure regulator bypasses the water back into the pump

Why does my karcher powerwasher starts and dies after 2 minutes

dirty carb , clean carb, install a fuel cut off valve ( or start using it if you already have one) when you are done washing, turn off the fuel valve and continue spraying water until the engine stops. That will empty the carburetor bowl and the carb will stay clean until you want to use it again.

Pump worked yesterday but would not shut off. I left pressure in system over night, today pressure gone, when I turn pump on, the motor runs, but no pressure or water pumped.

1.Turn off the power going to the pump.
2.Drain all the water inside the pressure tank.
3.Open the priming port plug of the pump, and fill it
full with water.
4. Put the priming port plug back in place. Close the
flow control valve and start the pump.
5. Slowly open the flow control valve to 1/8 to 1/4
open and see the flow stabilize at 20 psi of the
pressure gauge.
Hope this will help.

Continuos pumping

Continuos pumping is associated with waterlogged
pressurized system. To correct it, do this steps.
1. Put the power line off.
2. Drain all the water inside the pressure tank by
taking off the plug at the bottom. Then replace and
close the drain plug.
3. Open the priming port plug and fill it full with water.
Replace the priming port plug.
4. Close the flow control valve to regulate water output
5. Put the power back on, and start the pump.
6, Slowly open the flow control valve until the water
stabilizes at 20 or 30 psi at the pressure gage..
7. Set the pressure switch to stop at 40 psi and
start at 20 or 30 psi.
This will solve your problem.

No pressure in my sand filter

Sounds like your pump is not primed. That would be the only reason your filter doesn't register any pressure. Try priming the pump by filling the hair/lint pot with water and starting it up. If the pump pot is full while it's running and you still have no pressure, you may have a clogged pump impeller.

I have a Guundfos CHIE 4 circulation pump that is constantly running. I closed the valve on the pressure side but is still runs. On a previous post I was told it "may have lost its prime". The pump is...

You have a defective pressure switch. But replacing the switch. Do the following; Open the pressure switch cover, and find the two adjusting nuts. One is for the cut-off pressure (40psi) and the other is for the cut-in pressure (20 psi). Adjust the the nut with a longer stem counter clockwise (loose) with the pump running. Take care not to touch the power line attach
to it. Continue the adjustment until the pump stops,
at 40 psi. Then, observe - Pump must stop once the
pressure is attained. Then, open the valve until it
start (20psi).. Then you can adjust the other nut to
cut in at 20 psi.
To prime the pump; open and fill the priming port full
with water.and replace the priming port plug. Set
the water flow control valve at full close position.
Switch the power on to run the pump and slowly
open the control valve to appropriate setting such
that the pump doesn't lost the suction. Send your e-
mail for further comment. God bless u

Pressure washer with no pressure

Are you priming the water lines before you switch on the power?
i.e. with power OFF, hook up hose and turn hose on (doesn't need to have much hose pressure), then take your spray gun or attachment and pull the trigger and allow water to flow through the system (at hose pressure obviously). You might need to gravity feed it if its not flowing through...

But you will generally only get pressure once all the air is removed from the lines and the pump is pushing water only... Once you have water flow and lines are primed, switch on pump and see if that solves it.
