does your work have a password to log into the network? If so you may not be able to use your laptop unless they let you. Talk to your IT's at work.

OK, put them on the same network (or connect them with an Ethernet cable), turn on File Sharing on both machines, connect from one machine to the other, which gets you access to the drive on the remove machine, and then drag and drop the contents of your Desktop across the link.

SOURCE: iMac G4 Mac Desktop: imac g4 wont boot up scree's just blue?...

If it only boots to a blue screen, try booting up in Safe Boot mode:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455

If this does not work, boot from your install DVD and use Disk Utility to repair the disk:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2956

If this does not resolve the issue you may need to use your isntall disc to perform an Archive and Install:

When I try to connect through my eternet.I get network settings have been changed by another application. How do I fix

Hi Ron,
Well, sounds like you have another utility or extention taking charge of your Network settings...
I would delete the Ethernet preferences.. although... I would need to know more about what it might be...
how do you connect to the internet? Is it a PPPoE, or Cable?

How to get wireless on it

If your Mac Mini does not have an Airport built in, you can purchase a USB Wireless Antennae from most any electronics store. Just make sure to check and make sure that it says it compatible with Mac OS X.
If you mean how do you "set up" wireless with it, you will need an internet connection and a wireless router, which are also cheap and common.

Trouble connecting Power Mac G4 Airport saying "invalid password"

WPA is supported by both the Airport Extreme and Mac OS versions 10.3.
It's possible you need to change your encryption specification on the Netgear to "Shared Key" instead of the default "Open."

I just purchased an old mac g4 and I would like to copy my desktop folder from my beige g3 desktop to the g4.

OK, put them on the same network (or connect them with an Ethernet cable), turn on File Sharing on both machines, connect from one machine to the other, which gets you access to the drive on the remove machine, and then drag and drop the contents of your Desktop across the link.

Open System Preferences, in your Applications Folder, and go to the Network pane. That's where your settings go--you will need them from your ISP.
