You can go to "updates" in your "apple icon" top left hand of the screen. It will check for updates for you. Install all updates. If you havent done this ever or in a while, it is going to take some time to update everything. If that still doesnt work for you, Download firefox, it is a much better web browser than safari.

I'm not sure what you are asking but assume you want to have your gmail open up when you start up your computer??? If so then there are 2 steps: Firstly go to the Apple menu > "System Preferences", then click "Users & Groups". Select the user, then click "Login Items" on the top right hand side, and you will see a list that says 'These items will open automatically when you login:' Click the Add button below the list, and selct the browser from Applications (safari, firefox, etc) you use to access gmail, then click Add. The second step is to go to that browser and open your gmail page. Then bookmark that page and set it as your default home page. To speed things up you can also ask it to remeber your username and password so it opens immediately. Hope that helps :-)

A very simple fix for this. Go to the system preferences on the Mac with the dvd drive you wish to share. In the third section is the "Sharing" button. On the Sharing page on the left hand side you will see 'DVD or CD Sharing' listed. Tick the box to turn it on. If you click click the words of that line you get its options which are only to Ask Permission. You may need to click the lock to make changes to that as an option. Now, any disks you have in that drive will display on the network to other machines.

I am assuming this is through Safari. You can change your homepage within your Safari preferences. Go to the Safari menu, choose Preferences, and under the General tab, you can indicate what you would like your homepage to be.

Since you need to clarify exactly what is missing or broken as well as whether this is in reference to software or hardware (usb connected?) and what version of OS X you are running. I can only suggest looking here.

This seems to be a single issue. The fact you cannot print to a presumably shared printer AND cannot access the network or Internet, would indicate your issue is simply connectivity related.Are you connecting the Mac via wired ethernet cable or wireless?If it is wired, check your connection via the network icon on your screen (usually upper left) Click on the icon and choose "Open Network Preferences". In the window that appears, check on the left side to see if the appropriate connection has a green, yellow or red dot next to it. If the dot is red, you are not connected. If the dot is yellow, you are connected but there is an issue.If the connection is wired and there are other computers able to get online, then check the cable connected to the Mac or replace it.If the connection is wireless, then check try reconnecting again and make sure you are using the right passphrase for your security requirements. You may need to delete the profile and recreate it. You can do this by clicking on the Wi-Fi item on the left panel of your Network preferences window and then clicking on Advanced button. In the following window that appears, find your wireless network name in the list under Preferred Networks and click on it to highlight it. Then click the - button to remove it. Regardless of compatibility, the site is doing this illegally. Adobe does not allow it's software to be sold used nor does it let it's codes be sold. Buying from these guys will put you in a position of possibly being sued by Adobe.Given that, CS4 upgrade will only upgrade from CS3 and CS2.My suggestion is that you contact Adobe and see if they can offer you a solution more in keeping with legalities. They may accept a written request with inclusion of your original purchase invoice or they may allow you to trade the upgrade for the full package for the difference between the two. It's your call.
