Process 1..
1. Switch the power off from the back of the product, wait two minutes, then switch it back on again.
2. Check the power cord; try connecting it to another power socket.
3. Check that the product is properly connected in all other respects.
4. Switch the power off from the back of the product; remove the Formatter; reinsert the Formatter; switch the power on again.
Process 2..
1. Turn off the product with the Power Key on the left of the Touch Control Panel.
2. Press and release the Power Key to turn on the product.
3. Wait for about 10 seconds until the 6 buttons on the Touch Control Panel come on and then press
and release one after another the RIGHT -> HOME buttons.
4. Wait for the unit to complete the booting process. The logs are now enabled in the product even if
the product hangs and shows a system error.
Once U got the error, check the error related spare, replace it, any help post your query..

Hello,
The problem you are experiencing (not able to boot) The system can't find the hard drive, could be caused by a few things such as;
1. You have a USB flash drive plugged in (remove it)
2. A CD-ROM is in the drive (remove it).
3. The Hard drive itself has crashed and now needs to be replaced and a new operating system will need to be re-installed.

Hello Sir.

Please check that your cd or dvd drive does not contain any disks when attempting to boot.
This can sometimes cause boot problems. The other problem you may be experiencing is hard drive failure. This can be caused by the hard drive loosing its configuration from wear or failure. Perhaps you have an extra hard drive laying around you can test to see if you get same error.

After two years of use, no BIOS beep and nothing on screen.
Open cpu cabinet Reattch all connection to harddisk power cable and sata or Ide cable.
Then Pull cmos cell from motherbord chipset for 10 minutes so all bios settings are defaults.then Power up the computer press "del" or F1 or F2 to ente rin bios then check your harddisk is detected or not.
arddisk must detercted in bios for boot.
Also set first boot device as your harddisk.
then save settings and exit.

Hello,

I assume that you are trying to boot off of your battery and that possibly an update to your BIOS was performed and now you need to boot with a power adapter plugged in. IBM is touchy with this kind of thing. If you have your adapter plugged in, I might check to see if it has a light to indicate power on it and if it doesn't check the adapter where the power cord from the wall plugs into the adapter to make sure it is well seated.

Here is the manual in PDF format, that might have the error codes for the three flashing lights. Most likely you are experiencing hardware failure and should look into finding a free Hardware Diagnostic testing software that can be downloaded and booted off a cd.

I get exactly the same problem with my Panasonic EZ48 recorder.
It also displays FM List DL error .It sometimes sorts itself out by holding the on switch for 20 seconds.
