Home video on pc from digital camera, want to burn onto dvd disc?

Have new laptop,want to dispose of desktop pc. pc has video on it from digital camera, cannot burn onto dvd disc. what can i do. Have transfered pics to laptop using memory stick, this will only take jpeg not mpeg.

Hi!

It depends on the format you have on that video, you cant burn a dvd if the format is wrong.

Hello,
You can buy a USB-HDD unit and use it to copy over all your files, program files, documents, including JPG video. You can then copy them to the laptop. The unit is also a good way to backup your computer files in case it crashes and you don't loose all your data. Good Luck, RAC

I guessing you are connected via USB 2. There is a bottleneck there. Instead copy over to hard drive first, then burn.

How do I copy the mini disc onto a dvd disc, is there a converter program I need to download so that I can then burn several mini discs onto a 2 hour dvd?

Hi, You can convert mini disc ( 8 cm diameter ) to a standard DVD disc via your PC. Please follow this steps : 1. Install your canon software/driver in PC 2. Install DVD creator in PC ( common software is use Nero scout) 3. Download your mini disc data to PC 4. Enhanced your data with Nero 5. Burn your data to standard DVD
Make sure you have DVD RW hardware in your PC.

This is why desktops are nice. Versatile...
a capture card is a nice thing to have it will connect A/V as if it were part of the system.
Studio 8 by Pinnacle does this and it has fire wire plugs on the board and the composite RGB connection and SVHS cable and that is over 10 years old no there has to be more options and devices to interface USB etc,

You need to download and install an application that burns (copies) data, video or audio onto DVD's. Such as Nero burning software, roxio etc. You can also use Windows Media player to burn audio onto cd's
