I have a Roper Dryer Mod# REX5634KQ1. It just stopped drying all together. I didn't have a dryer vent, so I put a piece of stocking on the end of dryer hose. We cleaned that out and took the stocking off. Could this be the heating element gone out?

Dryer does not heat up. Heating element looks good.

There is a "one shot " thermostat that is probably blown. Part number 279816 which is a two piece kit. The part is located at the top of the heater housing.

My dryer mod rex5634kq1 stopped working

what stopped? Does it not Spin? if so it could need a new motor. If it spins but doesn't heat up. it could just be a heat sensor in the back that needs to be replaced or a heating element. if nothing happens at all it could be the start button needs to be replaced. Turn the dryer around and open up the top back panel. should be about 6 screws. inside there will be a diagram on the schematics of the dryer.

Hope this helps.

Roper dryer Mod #RES7646KQ you have to dry the close twice after two times close come out hot and dry what is the problem

Check to make sure that the dryer vent is clean or open. Make sure the dryer lint screen will let air through it...... take it to the kitchen sink and run water through it if water runs through it easily it is OK if it holds water then clean it with dishsoap and try again..... The dry is not getting enough air passed through the dryer.... Also I am assuming that the Washer is wringing out all of the water from the clothes.

Roper dryer stopped working during cycle REX6634RQO

replace your t-fuse again but also chekc to see if the vent going outside is restricted. if hte vent is smashed or clogged the heat has nowhere to go. i would say that is your issue. clean your vent before you change he t-fuse.

Dryer does not get hot enough to dry clothes Roper REX4634KQ1 Electric Dryer

The vent may be stopped up, or the vent hose crimped so the air cannot escape, you can check the air flow at the vent on the outside of the house while the dryer is running.
try cleaning the vent and the lint screen with a vacuum cleaner, you may need to replace the vent hose, this should solve the problem

Dryer Heating But Not Drying!!!

if its not heating at all the thermal is the most likely culprit and it was the little plastic piece you seen now if you have a meter set it to continuity and pull one of the wires off the thermal limiter and check it if it reads open its bad same with the heating element let me know now if the heater and thermal limiter are good pull the blower motor vent and check it for blockage
