The way I get an older pc drivers is try use the Vista driver that is on Asus website or win7 driver. Not all device manufactures share information with Microsoft. A large majority of Vista drivers are backword compatible

Sounds like the driver software is not compatible with Windows 8. Look on packaging for requirements, or readme files on disc. You could also check on their web site for updated drivers.
