The MacBook systems use Intel's Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) rather than the traditional Macintosh ROM or PC BIOS.
So, no such thing as going into the BIOS for advanced setup on Intel Macs (like you can on a PC).

I have a Toshiba L305-S5955 laptop, everytime I turn it on a screen comes up , blue box enter current password. if anyone can help it would be great, thanks

This is either A hdd password or a bios password, you could try password, or admin / administrator as the password, or follow this guide, there are sometimes backdoor developers passwords that can work http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/reference/biosp.htm

How do I get to the Bios setup for my macbook?

Macs use Intel's Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) to perform the same job as a BIOS. Intel have been trying to introduce this for years, but thanks to Microsoft dragging their feet, were unable to put it into any production units until Apple switched onto their processors. Therefore there is no BIOS screen on a Mac, as they don't have a BIOS. hope this was helpful

Hi, I need to Format my Presario V2000 notebook but i'm not sure how to perform this action, can anyone please be able to help me ? Thanks Dan

Hi Dan,
O.k. You will need to use the recovery or operating system disc. At start up you will ned to boot from the CD, do this by either entering the boot menu and selecting the CD drive, or entering the bios/set up and changing the boot order to where the CD drive boots before the hard drive. Both of these actions are done at start up, there is an initial screen that prompts you to press a key in order to enter the boot menu or bios/set up. Once you have booted from the CD, you will follow the steps and it will guide you through the process.

Tower change

1. Restart your machine
2. Enter BIOS by pressing F2
3. Scroll down to 'System Security'
4. Press Enter
5. Scroll down to Chassis Detection
6. Arrow over to 'Disabled'
7. Press Escape
8. Save changes and exit.

In some bios is in bios in the section BOOT and BOOT SETTING CONFIGURATION and disable CASE CHASSIS WARNING.

Your bios may be slightly different from the above. check inside the settings and find the case chassis warning option.

Regards
