Will need model number to follow up.
Or send photo to supplier.
It is also helpful to know the shape of the shaft, eg. D-shape.

SOURCE: own a KitchenAid gas range

Look at your *Owners Manual". There is a detailed instruction how the clean and adjust the burners in your sealed-burner range on pages 16 & 17.

If you don't have your manual, go to the KitchenAid web site:

http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/product_literature/search_results.jsp?searchTerm=KGST&siteCd=KAD&userType=Consumer

Search there for model KGST307BBL2 and download the pdf form.

Sure, it would be nice to employ a "certified tech" to do this work for you, if you want to spend $100-$150, but try it yourself first. If KitchenAids Owners Manual recommendation doesn't do the trick, then keep a service guy happy with your call! ;)

Which fuses for Hotpoint Range Diamond Series?

The higher Amp fuses are for the oven elements and the lower amp fuses are for the burners on top and the lighting if applicable. Some models have it printed on a piece of paper next to the fuses holders. Let me know if it helps!

Where is the ignite button located

Hi phillzy21
If the main grilling burners don't ignite, try lighting them several times using the snap ignition. If that doesn't work, try using a match. In humid and windy conditions, sometimes the snap ignitions do not work properly. Make sure that the hood is fully open. Also, ensure that your gas is turned on and that the valve is fully open. Next, take out both the heat distribution plates and cooking grate. Turn the grill backwards, and hit the snap igniter a few times and look for a spark. If you see a spark, the igniter is working properly.

I have a brand new Weber 670S and put it together....the ignition will fire and I get a 6 inch flame, but the burners don't light....and the flame goes out when I release the knob...

Since the main burners and the rear infrared burner (if so equipped) comes already installed, I don't think your assembling it is the problem. It's probably the grill's gas regulator that is giving you the problem. That's assuming you are following the manual's instructions on how to light the burners, the first time. For now, Ill assume you did. If you open the gas tank valve to fast, it shoots high pressure to the regulator & locks it up.

So, to solve the problem, follow the directions below:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly (It's 's not under warranty). It runs about $30.00 at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it, turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling!! And thanks for choosing FixYa.

Hello My side burner is leaking gas. I can hear the gas flowing even thought the knob is in the off position. But it doesn't click like all the other burners. Eddie

If the gas you hear is coming from the burner, rather than the side burner gas supply hos, the control knob may be stuck in the "IN" position. Turn the gas tank OFF, before attempting any repairs and disconnect the hose from the tank.

Now that there is no pressure on the side burner control knob, try using it as you normally would. What you're looking for is full function of the knob. Push it it and turn it to the light position. Does the knob pop back out when you release it? If it does, that's a good sign. If memory service me correctly, the gas supply line to the side burner as a quick connect on the hose to connect it to the burner. if so, disconnect and reconnect it to the burner. Does the quick connect slide back into place and connect properly? If not, that is what's leaking. But, to make sure, there needs to be gas going to the grill. Reconnect the hose to the tank and open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Once the valve is fully open, test the side burner hose connection and the hose (squirrels like to chew on the hose) by brushing on a soap & water solution to check for leaks. If you see bubbles that grow in size, that's a leak. Turn the gas tank back OFF. The side burner hose will need to be replaced.

If there were no leaks on the connection, check the burner knob for operation. Does it operate like it should with no smell of leaking gas? If not, the control knob valve will need to be replaced.

The parts you may need can be purchased from Ducane Customer Service 1-800-382-2637.

I hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Only one burner of four not working

sounds like a bad switch in the knob, turn on the defective side, turn on the one that works and keep the clicking going then turn on the defective burner while "other" is clicking if this lights then it means you have a bad switch or loose connections
