Cant get 42''lcd telly to let me play ps3 threw hdmi cable

External connections to TV - audio, or HDMI - will sometimes mute the TV --- remove all external connections to tv - test.

Some hd tvs do that,,its not u,,try in ps3 settings turn only 1080i setting on,,only,,same on tv also,,if not try with evryone of them selected,,let hdmi cable do it automatic

I guess your either using the scart socket or the HDMI socket. You have gone into the menu and changed your input source to either HDMI or Scart havent you? Does your TV aerial input work when switched to Antenna on the input source menu. If these dont happen then you have a faulty main pcb.

I solve it already my problem by connecting my ps3 to an 32 inches lcdtv and I change the videosetting to my ps3 to default setting because before when I had my sony bravia 32 inches I changed it to 1080p via HDMI cable signal...After I changed to default settings I connected it again to my own LG lcdtv 19 inches but it sadly 1080p is not so very much supported but anyway I can play now ps3 games...

the amp is being overdriven.

optical cable connection in tv is only input and same in receiver it is both inputs.you need to find the right encoding in your receiver mode/set-up

TRY A NEW HDMI CABLE 1ST. ALSO TRY ANOTHER INPUT. IF IT IS GREEN ON BOTH YOU HAVE A SOFTWEAR PROBLEM WITH THE UNIT AND WILL NEED TO CONTACT AUTHORIZED SERVICER TO SEE IF THE IS A SOFTWEAR UPGRADE OR TECHNICAL MENU ADJUSTMENT THAT CAN BE MADE.

use hdmi cable from ps3 to rear of tv (you should have hdmi 1 & hdmi 2)then ppress input on remote until you get hdmi 1 or 2 on screen walaa

I have a mate with this problem also . He rang Tv company and was told that model TV doesn't support blue ray so will not play .

hi i had a problem, but had no pic, but did have sound, rang sony, and they said buy a new hd cable, went out and bought one, and it worked fine!!!
