Air never stops coming out of gun nail, and gun doesn't sink nails

Air constantly comes out of nail head which will not let the gun sink nails all the way.it seems the trigger is stuck open.

what would be a good cleaner for the gun?Should i just wipe with clean cloth replace all seals and oil as i go?

Or you could have leaking seals, which will require new gaskets and o-rings available as overhaul kits for most good quality air nailers.

Air comes out the nose of my dewalt framing nailer

Again sounds like blown O ring give it a squirt of 3in1 oil and fire it several times (if oil is compatible in your gun). Repair center if that doesn't work. Trash can also get in the air orifice and stop moving parts from moving.

My RN175 shoots you think it shot the nail, but when you move the gun to shoot the next nail the nail you just shot falls out the end of the gun. What could cause this?

The driver is coming down far enough to break the nail off the strip but not far enough to drive it in. This could be caused by any of the following:
- The driver is broken off and too short to drive the nail
- The driver is bent and doesn't travel all the way down
- The seal/o-ring on the piston is damaged and air is leaking past it
Any of the above will require you to remove the head and inspect the driver, piston and o-rings or have a service center check it out.

There is a flow of air continually blowing from the gun at the nail loading location, causing it to fail to properly sink the nails into the wood

Can't be specific without model number, however, air leaking around nose area (where driver strikes nail) is indication of orings not sealing around cylinder spacer and body of gun and/or leaking at cylinder spacer and cylinder. Most likely grit has entered the gun and has begun to scratch metal and orings. Time for a reseal kit available thru Dewalt service center (or if you are a tinker-er, remove head and pull cylinder, remove fine scratches on body of gun with fine sandpaper and lube with plenty of silicone lube paste ). Final note, air could be leaking between cylinder seal at top of cylinder and headvalve. Air leaking here would also come out of gun thru nose, but the driver would be pushed down cylinder with nails removed. If no scratches are found and orings appear to be in good shape, then suspect this seal.
Dewalt used vinyl orings (gold colored) that do not last allowing leaks. The orings that come in their repair kits are also vinyl (not good). If possible replace bad orings with buna-n or viton from bearing house. Good luck

Nail gun doesn't shoot and air blowing out vent constant.

We used nail guns for years. I still own 6 guns, but they aren't used much anymore.
You have a 'blown head gasket.'
Or there is debris from the air hose that got lodged into the gun.
There is a head gasket and a trigger gasket.
Both can blow out any time from use, lack of oil, or they can stick open from debris.
You can take apart the head and clean it up and add oil to see if that solves problem.
You can order a gun re-build kit for your model and put in the parts yourself.
You can have a nail gun repair shop do the job.

Nail guns require gun oil.
If you don't use gun for a while, oil should be put into air hose opening and then left to run down into gun. More oil is better.
If you use 3-in-1 oil or some oil besides gun oil, then it will corrode the gaskets.
When storing air hose and guns, put tape over openings so they stay clean.
Before hooking air hose to a gun, you can also put a blower on hose and blow out the line first

My craftsman framing nailer has two nails jammed in head. Is this something I can repair myself?

Yes, just disconnect the air line and get in there and dig them nails out, don't wait for somebody else to work on it. Do it yourself. The front of that gun should lift up and expose the nails coming through, pull them out with pliers, make it clear, then reload and fire it back up and see what happens, a lot of times the generic nails will clog up.

When i push the trigger air is comming out but the gun is not shooting

make sure the safety release where the nail comes out is depressed. also check to see if it is low in nails/staples. I have an older nail gun that will stop when it is low on nails

Gun stopped driving nails, air escapes from top,

has the gun been cleaned and oiled, i think not.

take the head bolts out of the top of the gun. make sure you pay attention to how everything comes out so you can put it back together.

shake the gun upside down so that the piston comes out. wipe everything down with any petroleum based cleaning solvent to remove all the gunk and reassemble.

pour about 10 dropsof oil down the air input, let it sit there about 5 mins and hook up the air and it should work

Sparks when shooting a nail

Hi,
It is common to see sparks. It is metal striking metal. Although, if it sparks alot. It could be a chipped driver blade and the nail would not drive all the way. Does your sink `em?

Will bosch nail guns operate with Paslode brand nails?

The F28WW takes 28Deg nails that are collated with wire, so your nails won't work in that gun. The N80SB is also a 28Deg nailer so your 30 Deg nails won't work in that gun either. Sorry about the bad news but it looks like your going to have to spring for new nails
