Roland VS2000 Doens't load project after power accident

Here's what happened,, I was transfering some tracks to my pc, via USB.
After this, while the VS was disconnecting, i, accidently pull the plug on the VS, before it concluded the disconnection, i presume..
Now, it isn't able to load any project. I switch it on and it freezes on the logo screen, with the loading bar.. I'm up for format and loose all that i had inside. I'm that desperate..

Turn it on and just let it load..it may take like 20 hrs or so but it will come on...and yea when it does you might not have anything that you had on there but you can start over and it will work like new..worked for me

My roland vs 2000 says not found any drivers when i turn it on can it be fixed

I think your best option is to try downloading and installing the latest system update from the Roland Site link below.

My roland vs2400CD keeps getting stuck at the load screen. I have tried the factory reset, but can't complete it. Is there anything else I can try, or do I have to have my hard drive replaced?

Hold the two buttons down above the slider on track #4 when turning the power on. You have something that is corrupt on your hard drive. This bypasses looking for a project to load up and just goes straight to the operating system.

Ever since i hooked up the usb ports from my mv8000 to my vista compuiter my roland wont save or it wont load any projects and also it seems that it erased all my songs that i ever worked on, when i start...

I think the most common cause of this with a pc is that windows media player scrambled the data on the hd.. you need to get a harddrive ide ata adapter , open the mv and connect the hard drive directluy to a computer then copy the files.. then reformat the harddrive in the mv then put the files back on .... i had the same problem with a mac but i dont know the cause since i dont have windowns media player.. im interested to know how this turned out.. i thinking of sending my drive to a drive saver company if it doens work out.. i neeeeeeddd my fillleessss.. aaahhhh

It keeps saying opertion failed when i try to load a project, I changed harddrives and it does the same thing

Try checking the disk drive and CD drive connectors on the main circuit board, see if there are any bent, dirty or desoldered pins.

That's one thing you can do, and it may either help or not, but many machines that use disk/CD/floppy drives show an error message if there is a connection problem so i guess it's at least worth checking it.

Roland RD-700SX as MIDI keyboard

Theres a good article at recordingreview.com. If you join which is free you have access to a lot of great information. You can download Midiox to troubleshoot your midi connections etc. Make sure that your transmit channel on your keyboard matches up with the receive channel in your program. Hope this helps.

Roland VS2000CD

Shelly, I have a 2480 but it must be very similar. Import the drum track as a wav file into two of your tracks within the same project. You must make sure the file is a WAV file and nothing else.

Hope it works, on the 2400, I am sure it must since it is a must have.

Usb file transfer

In reading and working with the unit, I have learned that the file transfer is for backup only. If you want to manipulate the file they have to be transferred individually via your sound card or an interface.
