Replacing riccar 4812 hose

To replace just the hose unscrew it from the swivel attached to the back of the vacuum. The replace swivel insert screwdrivers into the tabs holding it to the body (from inside the dust compartment) to remove it, the new one snaps into place.

I have a Riccar 8750, when I plug it in any outlet and turn on the headlight does not come on and the vacuum does not turn on. The reset button does not seem to help. It worked fine when I shut it off last...

An 8750 is likely at least 20 years old but still may have lots of life left. I still have 8600 series Riccar vacuums brought in to my vacuum shop for service. You may have a loose wire, bad switch or power cord. I would take it to my local Riccar dealer to diagnose and repair.

Won't come on when I plug it in. Does it have a

Greetings from GoVacuum,

Yes, the Riccar 4812 does in deed have a reset switch. Unfortunately some dishonest repair man will tell you at this point that your motor has gone, but 7-10 times it's the reset switch.

If you look down at the base of th vacuum cleaner at the vacuum bottom in the back, right above the rear wheels, you will see a small red button. Take a ball point pen, and while the vacuum is plugged in, go ahead and push the red button or the reset switch. Did the vacuum come on?

If not, it may another simple problem of the cord/ plug going bad.

I hink if it just stopped workint all or a sudden, it's prbably the reset switch.

If it's not, please email me or give me a call and I then diagnose the problem for you.

Riccar rc1100 won't turn off

I am an riccar dealer, and you either have a short in the wire leads from front of vacuum to circuit board or a bad circuit board which if so the boardd will have to be sent to manufacture to be rebuilt as there are no new circuit boards available. if not under warrenty which i doubt since riccar hasnt made these models for a while. would recomend replacement with either sunburst or moonlight model as they are a comparable replacement to the repair. or just simply just plug and unplug machine, if it doesnt bother you to do so. If more questions email me at [email protected] subject riccar, or go to www.riccar.com to locate nearest dealer
