Large Induction burners not firing up, lights blink as if they can't find pot that is placed on the burner. The smaller units of this 6 burner cooktop function. Any ideas? Available parts diagrams or authorized sources for parts?
Throw your circuit breaker that leads to this unit for a few seconds, then reset the breaker This unit is very sensitive to power fluctuations.
We had a similar problem with the large induction burner on a 30" induction/radiant Viking VCCU cooktop. The failure seemed to have been triggered by a severe electrical storm and power outage. At first the problem persisted with 6-8 repeated resets of the main circuit breaker (we switched off the cooktop when not using it because we could hear the fan and induction mechanism running even though all cooktop switches were OFF and there was no induction heating.) After about five days of these on-off cycles, the unit seems to have reset and it is working normally again. Persistence may pay off.

ADDED; Problem reoccurred a third time. Close lightning strike + brief power outage knocked out the large induction burner only. Same symptoms as before and as descried in other posts. Repeated resets over several days (switching the circuit breaker ON to use the other burners to cook, then switching the unit OFF) again reset the unit and resolved the problem after several days. Patience rewarded. ADDED: Problem reoccurred. Same solution: Power outage again knocked out the large induction burner on our Viking electric cooktop. You could hear it repeatedly spin up, then turn off, even with the burner knob set to OFF. Repeatedly switching the circuit breaker off and on several times a day over two or three days finally reset the burner and it's working again.

Hello - Typically error code E on Electrolux induction cook top indicates an error with the user interface board/control board. Contact a professional to move forward accurately and properly diagnose/repair the unit.

Does the unit have plenty of air circulation below it. Should not be installed over drawers.
