There is a suggested backup message on my notebook and when I insert a DVD to backup it runs for awhile then gives me error messages. The error numbers are 204 and 1012. Do I have a defunct drive for warranty replacement? I've tried a DVD-R and have also tried a DVD-RW.
Try setting your backup at a slower speed. If your burning backup DVD at 8x speed, Try burning your DVD at 4x speed.
