I have a KitchenAid Whisper Quiet Ultima Superba and the Child Lock came on flsshing. My model has no locks listed.

There are several touch pad buttons that could activate the Child Lock feature on a Kitchenaid dishwasher. To toggle off the lock, try pressing and holding the 4-hour delay dry or the energy saver dry key pads for 4+ seconds. The Energy Saver Dry is used for the Child Lock on the Kitchenaid KUDS25SHWH1. This manual is here: https://c.searspartsdirect.com/mmh/lis_pdf/OWNM/L9050329.pdf . The 4-hour delay or Control Lock options are listed in this manual: https://www.kitchenaid.com/content/dam/global/documents/201605/owners-manual-W10596243-RevD.pdf . If neither of these steps work, you may have a problem with the keypad, the wiring between the keypad and the control board or the control board itself.

Please add a comment with the model of the dishwasher if you'd like me to try and find the parts list/diagram. If the machine is under warranty, you may want to contact Kitchenaid.

I hope this helps.

Whirlpool quiet partners II normal light flashing

CHECKING KEYPAD OPERATION
A rapidly blinking LED over one of the keys of the keypad (or sometimes a "dead" keypad/console)
To determine if the control or keypad is faulty, do the following test:
1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Open the dishwasher door.
3. Open console and disconnect the keypad ribbon connection from the control (at P1).
Make sure all other connections are made.
4. Put console back together. Do not close the dishwasher door.
5. Plug in dishwasher or reconnect power.
6. Wait 5 seconds.
7. Close dishwasher door.
8. Monitor the control's response:
If the control is OK (no longer sees shorts with the keypad unplugged),
it will respond by turning on a Drain Motor for 2 minutes.
Check and/or replace the keypad if the control responds OK.
If the control is not OK (still sees shorts with the keypad unplugged),
then the drain motor will NOT respond and will remain off.
If no response, replace the control.

KitchenAid dishwasher KUDM01TJBS0 does not start.

Most likely your keypad is bad. Will need to replace the console.

Kitchenaid dishwasher on the fritz, 5 yrs old pd $865.00

The part you need is the console, what happens is moisture gets into the 'keypad' and causes corrosion shorting out the trails. The keypad is not a serviceable part it comes complete with the console which is not too hard to replace. I can help you with that if you want.

The part number you need is 8574148, it also has substitute number of W10083998

You can try calling Kitchen Aid to obtain the part or look in the yellow pages in your area for an appliance parts dealer. If it were me I would try KitchenAid first you never know they may cut you a break since you are a loyal customer...... if you know what I mean....

My normal cycle and cancel button lights are blinking on my kitchenaid dishwasher. Model # KUDP02CR8S2 Any suggestions?

Probably a keypad gone bad. Try replacing the keypad.

There is a troubleshooting guide behind the foot kick panel. It gives a sequence to test for a bad keypad. You can try that sequence to be sure.

KUDI02IRBS Kitchenaid dishwasher won't start cycle

Perhaps the child lock is on. Push and hold the heat/dry button for 5 seconds and hopefully the keypad will be unlocked. Hopefully that will work for you.

No power on kitchenaid kudc25 dishwasher

I have the same problem on my 2000 KUDC25CHSS1 DW. I thought it was the control board so I replaced it ($150). No dice. Still have the same problem. Since the next step is to replace the keypad ($450), I am having someone come out an take a look.

Couldn't find a tech sheet in the unit. Found one online, but there is not much in the way of diagnostics in it.
