The dishwasher will not work.

Hi

First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the lower front panel of the dishwasher. If the issue returns after its cleaned then try to reset the dishwasher control by pressing the HEATED DRY button and hold it for 15 seconds, if its still not resolved then it means that the control board has gone bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I have the KitchenAid undercounter

Did you try holding the energy save button for 10 seconds I thought that was how you were supposed to unlock the child lock on the unit. Also did you try unplugging the unit as well for 7 minutes this usually causes the control to reset in the unit. I await your reply to how you make out with these suggestions. If this does not work then one or more of the pads on the control panel is stuck and if this were the case then you would have to replace the control panel if you have any further questions message me back. Thanks Rick

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

The problem is with the dispenser door assembly and its recommended to replace it completely rather than just replacing the latch. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Dishs are coming out wet ,plus the child lock

If the dishwasher is not completing its cycle then you should expect the dishes will be wet.

Is it doing the same thing everytime you start the wash? I am assuming you have already turned the mains off and back on a few times.

It depends at which point the dishwasher is giving up. Is there water inside when it stops? Is it hot or cold and has the detergent door opened?

I am still trying to find the diagram of the control panel for your dishwasher. If any of this look familiar then try the reset sequence....

Pressing the following option keys in the sequence shown will either

start the Diagnostics Cycle:

HI TEMP WASH, AIR DRY, HI TEMP WASH, AIR DRY

or

POWER SCOUR, AIR DRY, POWER SCOUR, AIR DRY

(HI TEMP WASH = HIGH TEMP WASH = WATER HEAT)

(POWER SCOUR = SUPER SCRUB)
(AIR DRY = ENERGY SAVER DRY = NO HEAT DRY)

All lights should light up and then press the On button to see if all lights turn off.
(Don't worry if there is no change as it may not be the correct buttons on your model).

If the water is not hot then it is possible the heater is faulty. See this diagram.

Please post a comment to confirm what you see.

How do you change the decorative panel on the

usually there are two screws on the side of the DW door that unscrews the surrounding frame. Once unscrewed the side of the frame will come off allowing you to slide out your existing panel and replace it with the new one. If your dishwasher door has the metal wrapping around the sides, then your new panel won't work with this one.
