Unplug the unit and take the top with the screws holding the lid on. Take a look at all of the wires on the top of the machine. You might notice broken/burnt wires on the safeties that are close to or that directly activate the heating element located in the blower housing located at the top of this washer/dryer condensing unit.
This dryer has 2 belts. A smaller belt operates the blower. The nut tends to back out and the small belt falls off. Here is the result: Bravos dryer innards of a failed blower belt Look around on my foggy site for your service manual. Let me know
The control unit on the tumble dryer will vary among
different makes and models. The main purpose of the controls is to allow
the user to select the drying cycle. You can choose the time and
temperature setting on most units, while others allow custom settings
such as moisture sensors and end-of-cycle alert signals. The controls
may include a dial or a touch panel and LED screen display. Some tumble
dryers allow you to independently select the appropriate time for the
load you are drying and separate programs for temperature.
Motor
The motor inside the tumble dryer spins the basket to allow
the clothes to tumble while being dried. The tumbling action allows the
air to pass through the clothing to dry them faster. Heating laundry
that is stagnant will likely dry the clothing on the outside while
leaving damp clothing inside the pile. The constant motion, along with
the heat and steam created by heating the clothing, reduces wrinkles.
The motor also powers the fan that delivers the heated air to the basket
of laundry. The heater can be an electrical element or gas powered.
You are correct. Pull the dryer out and disconnect your venting from the back of the dryer. Turn your dryer on and check to make sure your dryer is blowing air out of the dryer duct. If it is then leave your dryer out at least 2 ft from the wall and run a load of clothes through the dryer. If it dries your clothes normally then you have a venting restriction. Check to make sure your venting is clean, not kinked or smashed, make sure your outside vent is opening an doesn.t have something blocking it. Check your lint screen filter by running water through it. If water is not flowing through it, you have a build up of fabric softener on your screen, blocking air flow. Scrub your screen off and test again. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists
what type is this electric or gas? have you removed the exsaust from the wall and ran a load like this? if you have heat and this is an electric dryer it sounds like you have a blockage in your house. if the dryer runs fine without the exsaust attached then that is your problem. let me know
