It just wont turn on, and i'v tried other power supplies that deffinately work and it still wont. help!

Use the correct PSC power adapter. 9 volts, 1 amp... not sure of the polarity... searched all over for the spec. The unit draws 900ma so you need a 1 amp supply. Most "universal" supplies will not provide enough current. If you have tried the wrong polarity you may have damaged the unit.

My roland br 1600 cd rec.studio is just over a year old.I have 4 songs currently on it (80 gb) and it says HD full.It cant be full ....I cant work because of this error...

Yep... the hard drive is 80GB... so if you have 80GB of songs (not hard to do) it is full. Purge some off to make space. Those must be either long songs or have a lot of high frequency stuff using a lot of data to store them or a lot of tracks per song. For stereo recording two tracks using computer I chew up about 1 GB per hour. If you have armed more tracks this could really jump up... and these units may not be as efficient as the new software PC DAW's. I would recommend purging existing songs to a safe media and then reformatting/initializing the drive in the unit.

Br900cd unable to remain switch on

Check power source or batteries. This unit will go through batteries fairly fast and when low the unit will not stay on. You CANNOT use rechargeable types as they have lower voltage and they quickly fail and shut off. Check the voltage out of the adapter if you are using one..

Hi. I really hope you can help me. No one else have so far! This is my problem: When I connect with USB to my computer my Boss BR900cd hangs, and the only way tp turn it off is by using the main switch....

See if unplugging the USB will then allow it to turn off... If it does, likely the USB is backfeeding enough to keep the power circuit alive. It is possible also that the software on the PC needs to close as they may have an interlock that prevents one from dumping power if PC is still connected... Just some thoughts on possible reason for the symptom.

Don't you just hate these incompatibility issues?

Try the VSPLANET.com site where a lot is discussed about the Roland (Boss) recorders.

Sounds like a version compatibility problem.

Check with the folks over at VSPLANET.com where Roland digital recorders are discussed in the forums.

Boss BR900CD External MIDI

I'm not totally familiar with that Boss Digital Audio Workstation but it sounds like what you want to do is record both the music and vocal track at the same time. If that's the case I believe you can push both "Line" and "Mic" input buttons (perhaps not exactly named as such) at the same time to record both simultaneously. Otherwise I would suggest copying the music to it's own stereo track (or two individual tracks, each panned opposite from one another to maintain stereo) and then record your vocal track separately. That way you can record several takes and edit down the best parts to one final track.
I hope that helps.
