Model # 26955SE1-B GE 900 MHz Cordless/Corded Speakerphone Cradle # 5-2478 Everything about my cordless 2nd phone works except I can't hear anything (i.e. no dial tone-people can hear me but i can't hear them.) I figure something went wrong with the speaker (earpiece)? It used to work. It was used in bathroom. Could water have splashed on it, maybe?

SOURCE: No dial tone on handset

It may not be registed with the main unit. You may need to register the handset. With my uniden all i have to do is put it in the main base until it says what handset it is (it should be a number).

SOURCE: Dial Tone but won't call out.

The problem was the main phone line not the phone itself

SOURCE: Uniden Dect2080 with 5 cordless phones

try using the telephone cord and jack from the phone that is working with the phone that is not working, if it now works the problem is the jack you were using or the phone cord. If that doesn't solve the problem, unplug the AC adapter and the phone cord for the non-working phone and let it sit for a couple minutes, plug them back in then try to make a call.

SOURCE: No dial tone. Cannot call/recieve.

Have you tried placing the handsets in the base unit to resync them? (not the axillary charger)

Have you confirmed that the phone jack and wire are still working? (e.g. plug in a known-good corded phone and make sure the signal is still good)

I have charged for abt 20 hrs for set up. all I get is "Searching" Help me to move foreward.Sue DECT1560 This is a new phone I am trying to get it in service. I have no dial tone ,message "searching"...

First make sure the phone jack is working by plugging a working phone into it.

if it is working, use the same phone cable to plug into the base of your new unit.

if you do not get dail tone, place the handset into the main charging base. this should sync the phone up to the base. lift it out and try again.

if you still do not get dail tone or see searching, open the phone and remove the battery. wait 30s or so, plug the battery back in and set the phone in the main charger again. wait 10second and try the phone again.

THE PHONE SAYS LINE IN USE

Check to see that you have dial tone from the phone company by using a standard non cordless phone. if you have dial tone then check the cordless phone and make sure you plug into the correct port and ensure that you have the power plugged into the wall. Also, use the same cord from the standard phone that is connected from the phone to the wall to ensure that your line cord is not bad.

Our company has a Panasonic kx-t7731 main line has no dail tone.

On that phone, press PROGRAM the button and dial 01 STORE.

Press program again to exit programming.

It's not likely you'll be needing the Group Log In/Out button.
