Intercom

Each of the six phones must have line 1 connected to the same "subscriber loop" (the same phone number). Assuming this is the case, and that you have not assigned any numbers to the the top six speed-dial buttons, each station will have agreed to be assigned a station number.

From any station, pressing the speed-dial button for another station's station number will page that station.

Now, how to properly initiate an intercom conversation differs between announcing to another station that a call is on hold, or a "cold call".

How do I stop the red message light from blinking after I have received my messages

~*~*~ SOLVED SOLVED SOLVED! ~*~*~ After talking to both ATT and RCA with no success...I figured it out. ~*~*~ Plug your phone line into the "DATA PORT" on the back of the unit. Slide the "DATA PORT" switch to whichever line is showing it has a message. Press the corresponding Line# button on the front of the phone. (you should hear the dial tone) Dial your voice mail number. Let it answer, (enter your passcode if needed), then hang up! - That's it! example: MSG Waiting:L2 - I plugged the phone line into the Data Port and moved the data port switch to "2". I pressed LINE 2 on the front of the phone, dialed my voice mail number, it answered, I put in my passcode. (It said that I did not have any new voice mails), then hung up! That's it! Message Indicator light off!!! Repeat for each line that shows a (false) message waiting. ~~~Don't forget to move your phone line back into it's correct port on the back of your phone.~~~

Rca tech support: message light blinking

You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

New Message Light won't stop flashing

Don't know about other models, but I just called RCA small business phone support (800-511-3180) to find out how to clear the message light indicator on my 25210 2-line cordless phone when it continues to blink but there is no message.

All you have to do is hold down the delete button for a few seconds and it will clear. Hope this helps someone else from going batty!

Message Light

The only thing you can do is unplug the unit from the wall and from the phone line. wait over night and see if this resets the unit. if it does not, I,m afraid there is a circuit problem in the phone and most likely will not be worth repairing, but try to hard reset like I said first. good luck

Hi. I have a new 4-line phone (RCA 25414-RE3) and it is connected like the manual says. But it is not separating line 1 from line2 or line3 from line 4. They are both on lines 1 and 3.... can you help

There are a couple of problems you may have.First, the wall jack may not be wired correctly or the wire you ar eusing is a single line wire. The easiest to check is the wire, look at the plug and see if it has 4 copper leads. If it only has two in the middle two slots then it will only connect line 1. If it has 4 copper leads then it should pass both lines 1 and 2 (or three and four). The middle leads are line 1 and the outer two are line 2.If the wires all check out then you may have a wall plate that is not wired for multiple lines on the single wire. That will require a technician coming out and rewiring the plate. There are also adaptors available at Radio Shack that will combine two lines to one wire if you have both lines on the wall plate.I have a blog on 4 line phones if you would like other tips about them. Go to the tag cloud and you will see 4 line phone.
