SOURCE: Chg number of rings to voicemail on M7310

Is your system a BCM or a CIC/MICs system?

I know you most likely will not know, so I will give you both ways to change this... they are pretty well Identical, but there is one extra set if your system is a BCM, that is if the set programming can be done.

ok... lets get started!
Go to a programming set:

-> FEATURE * * 2 6 6 3 4 4 (CONFIG)
-> User ID: 7 3 8 6 6 2 (SETNNA) [this is the extra step I was talking about]
-> Password: 2 6 6 3 4 4 (CONFIG) [this is the default password, but could have been changed by the programmer]

Now you will have to look at your LCD for 3 arrows
<- Heading....Enter->
<- Back .......Next->
You will not see these words in the LCD display, you just have to look for the 3 arrows that correspond.

-> You will now see TERMINALS&SETS, and press the ENTER button
-> type in the extension of the set (eg:2338), now you will see 2338: NAME
-> press ENTER and you will see LINE ACCESS press NEXT till you see CAPABILITIES
-> press ENTER and look for Call Forward No Answer
-> press CHANGE and type in the new name pressing the # button to advance to the next letter.
-> Hit the NEXT button to save
-> press the HEADING arrow to back up and press FIND to look for next extension that you want to change.

-> after all the changes are made, press the RLS button to end programming.

How do I change the number of rings on this phone?

The KX-TG2313 isn't an answering machine. It will ring until you pick up, an answering machine or voicemail system picks up, or the caller hangs up.

To change the ring count, refer to the documentation for whatever answering machine or voicemail system you have on your phone line. If you require further assistance, please add a comment to this question and identify the answering machine or voicemail system.

Turn off voicemail 6408D+

Turning off voicemail is usually done by the voicemail administrator, they can reset passwords and add or delete a mailbox on an extension. The number of rings before going to voicemail is usually system wide, and that program is changed by whoever programs your phone system.

How to change the number of rings on my cordles telephone TRU9260 series

The ring count is controlled by the answering machine or voicemail system on your phone line. The TRU9260 is just a phone, it will ring until your or the answering machine/voicemail system picks up.

What answering machine/voicemail system do you have?

M7310 voicemail

You need to access Admin programming in the phone system and navigate to Capabilities and change the Forward No Answer to the DN of the voicemail....if unsure of any of this you need to be calling your vendor that handles the system for all issues or questions.

Set number of rings before voicemail iphone

This procedure allows your iPhone to ring for longer or shorter periods than the default setting of 20 seconds before voicemail answers. *** Attempt at your own risk but if you pay attention to the keys you input and follow the directions you should have no problems.

1. On your phone, dial *#61# and click Call

The screen will display:

Setting Interrogation Succeeded
Voice Call Forwarding
When Unanswered
Forwards to +1xxxYYYzzzz
Enabled

2. Write down the xxxYYYzzz number (including +1) - this is the number to your voicemail.

3. In order to make the + appear on the keypad in the next step you'll have to hold Zero down for a few seconds, then it will become a Plus (+). Dial **61*+1xxxYYYzzzz**30# and hit Call. +1xxxYYYzzzz is the number you wrote down previously, 30 is the delay in seconds. The delay can be set in 5 second increments, 30 is maximum.

4. Dial *#61# to verify that the new settings are active.

5. Verify working voice mail.

If you find you or your contacts are not being forwarded to your voice mail you have incorrectly altered your voice mail forward number.

To find out what it is and try again:

Dial ##002# and send. This will reset that forward number to factory defaults.

By then Dialing *#61# you will again display the your current (default) voice mail forwarding number.

Return to step [2] and continue.

*** Use this tutorial at your own risk ***...and if you have the time you can always give AT&T a call to have them change the number of rings on an incoming call before Visual Voicemail kicks in. I was able to quickly change the duration on my own, using these diagnostic iPhone GSM codes. The default time duration before Visual Voicemail intercepts the call is set by AT&T to 20 seconds. You will be able to add another 10 seconds yourself, but if you want your callers to wait more than 30 seconds before voicemail picks up then you'll need to contact AT&T technical support - they can change the duration to 45 seconds upon request.

The phone rings 3 times and goes to voicemail on the 4th ring. How do I change it to pick up on the 8th ring?

I don't think its a good idea to back the vms cover rings to 8. The furthest I'd go is maybe 6.
Changing the VMS cover rings on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
next press the left hand intercom twice
the display should say system programming
enter in "#321"
the display should say VMS Cover Rings and ask for an extension number
enter the extension number you wish to change
The current ring data should be displayed
enter in new data (8 ring if you wish)
press feature "00" to logout

# of rings before voicemail picks up

Yes there is, but you have to know multiplication :-)

At the extension, from the intercom dial *713 and the 2-digit time in seconds. An internal ring cycle is about 6 seconds. I think the default time comes from the system and it may be 40 seconds.

Too many rings on 4025 Superset

You will need the Mitel system programmer to change the Class Of Service of your set, this will change the number of rings before it goes to Voicemail.

Unfortunately, unless you know how to get into the system or have an administrator onsite that has rights to the Mitel system, a Mitel Specialist will be required to make this change.
